Was watching a video interview of Gavin Newsom, mayor of San Francisco, who said in 2000 Proposition 22 was passed by 61.4% and now Proposition 8 is passed by only 52%. He said that is progress, showing a growing acceptance of gay marriage in California.

We would have hoped that Prop. 8 would pass by a bigger margin than 52.1%. But another way to look at it is in terms of the actual number of votes. The 61.4% in 2000 was 4,618,673 votes. The 52.1% this time was 6,509,858 votes. So nearly 2 million voters wanted marriage to be limited to a man and a woman this time.

Yesterday the Supreme Court in California agreed to hear cases contesting the constitutionality of Proposition 8. So the legal battle now begins.

In the meantime, the opponents of Prop. 8, who advocated tolerance and equal rights, are not waiting for the court to help them overturn the majority voters' wishes. In an article titled If Democracy Doesn't Work, Try Anarchy, Chuck Norris wrote the following article:

Protestors of Proposition 8 in California (the marriage amendment) shoved aside a 69-year-old woman who was bearing a cross. They reportedly spit on her and stomped on her cross. They then aligned themselves in a human barricade, blocking the media from getting to or nterviewing the woman.

Prop. 8 supporter Jose Nunez, 37, was assaulted brutally while distributing yard signs to other supporters after church services at the St. Stanislaus Parish in Modesto.

Calvary Chapel Chino Hills was spray painted by vandals after they learned that the church served as an official collection point for Prop. 8 petitions.

Letters containing white powder (obviously mimicking anthrax) were sent to the Salt Lake City headquarters of the Mormon church and to a temple in Los Angeles. (Thankfully, the FBI said the substance was nontoxic.) The 25-year artistic director of the California Musical Theatre, who also happens to be a Mormon, was muscled to resign because of his $1,000 donation to the campaign to ban gay marriage in California.

A pro-homosexual, pro-anarchy organization named Bash Back marched into the middle of a church service and flung fliers and condoms to the congregants. They also hung a banner from the balcony that featured two lesbians in provocative positions at the pulpit.

And lastly, the tolerance-preaching activists also have taken their anger to the blogosphere, where posts have planted ideas ranging from burning churches to storming the citadels of government until our society is forced to overturn Prop. 8. You even can find donor blacklists online. The lists include everyone who financially backed Prop. 8 -- even those who gave as little as $46 -- with the obvious objective that these individuals will be bantered and boycotted for
doing so.

What's wrong with this picture? Lots.

First, there's the obvious inability of the minority to accept the will of the majority. Californians have spoken twice, through the elections in 2000 and 2008. Nearly every county across the state (including Los Angeles County) voted to amend the state constitution in favor of traditional marriage.

Nevertheless, bitter activists simply cannot accept the outcome as being truly reflective of the general public. So they have placed the brainwashing blame upon the crusading and misleading zealotry of those religious villains: the Catholics, evangelical Protestants, and especially Mormons, who allegedly are robbing the rights of American citizens by merely executing their right to vote and standing upon their moral convictions and traditional views.

What's surprising (or maybe not so) is that even though 70 percent of African-Americans voted in favor of Proposition 8, protests against black churches are virtually nonexistent. And everyone knows exactly why: Such actions would be viewed as racist. Yet these opponents of Prop. 8 can protest vehemently and shout obscenities in front of Mormon temples without ever being accused of religious bigotry. There's a clear double standard in our society. Where are the
hate-crime cops when religious conservatives need them?

There were many of us who passionately opposed Obama, but you don't see us protesting in the streets or crying "unfair." Rather, we are submitting to a democratic process and now asking how we can support "our" president. Just because we don't like the election outcome doesn't give us the right to bully those who oppose us. In other words, if democracy doesn't tip our direction, we don't swing to anarchy. That would be like the Wild West, the resurrection of which seems to be happening in these postelection protests.

I agree with Prison Fellowship's founder, Chuck Colson, who wrote: "This is an outrage. What hypocrisy from those who spend all of their time preaching tolerance to the rest of us! How dare they threaten and attack political opponents? We live in a democratic country, not a banana republic ruled by thugs."

Regardless of one's opinion of Proposition 8, it is flat-out wrong and un-American to intimidate and harass individuals, churches and businesses that are guilty of nothing more than participating in the democratic process.

Political protests are one thing, but when old-fashioned bullying techniques are used that restrict voting liberties and even prompt fear of safety, activists have crossed a line. There is a difference between respectfully advocating one's civil rights and demanding public endorsement of what many still consider to be unnatural sexual behavior through cruel coercion and repression tactics. One thing is for sure: The days of peaceful marches, such as those headed up by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., seem to be long gone.

The truth is that the great majority of Prop. 8 advocates are not bigots or hatemongers. They are American citizens who are following 5,000 years of human history and the belief of every major people and religion: Marriage is a sacred union between a man and a woman. Their pro-Prop. 8 votes weren't intended to deprive any group of its rights; they were safeguarding their honest convictions regarding the boundaries of marriage.

On Nov. 4, the pro-gay community obviously was flabbergasted that a state that generally leans left actually voted right when it came to holy matrimony. But that's exactly what happened; the majority of Californians -- red, yellow, black and white -- voted to define the margins of marriage as being between one man and one woman. California is the 30th state in our union to amend its constitution in doing so, joining Florida and Arizona in this election.

Like it or not, it's the law now. The people have spoken.

LA Times Only Just Notices Obama Has Thin Resume?

Interestingly, Dan Morain of the L.A. Times has just discovered that Barack Obama has a pretty thin resume prior to being elevated to the presidency. Between 1993 and '96, Obama, the much-ballyhooed "Constitutional scholar," had only an unusually low 3,723 billable hours of legal work accrued over a four-year stint with his law firm employer Davis, Miner, Barnhill & Gallard. Further, he seems to have worked on but few cases and made little impact commensurate with his reputation. The question I have, of course, is why is the L.A. Times only NOW interested that Obama was "involved in relatively few cases before entering politics"? Where was this investigating before the election?

The Morain piece begins by recounting how Obama has so often made a big deal out of his days as a "civil-rights attorney" claiming it a key ingredient of his early, formative community development years. Yet, Morain finds that there isn't much record proving that Obama did a whole heck-of-a-lot back in those days

Hundreds of homosexual activists rushed out of bars and swarmed a group of Christians who were singing songs in San Francisco's Castro District – and some even threatened to kill the worshippers.

A group of Christians had been singing and praying in the "gay" district for several days, but they never expected an angry mob would run them out. However, that's what happened Friday night.

One woman who was attacked told her story with Pastor Lou Engle at the International House of Prayer in Kansas City. She said the group's fellowship had been peaceful for several nights before the riot.

"People would come stand with us and join us," she said. "We got to pray for some people."

But then angry men began yelling profanities and warning the Christians to leave the district.

One asked, "Why are you here?"

The leader of the group said, "We're here to worship God, and we're here because we love you."

A group of men approached the Christians and covered them with a large cloth, backing them into a corner. Then the angry mob began swearing and growing larger. The bars began emptying out, and a crowd completely surrounded the Christians.

The worship group began singing "Amazing Grace," while an estimated 500 "gay" advocates sang, "We Shall Overcome."

The woman said she and her friend were doused with hot coffee. One man took a Bible from her friend, hit her on the head with it, pushed her to the ground and began kicking her. People began lunging at the Christian group, blowing whistles in their ears.

"They started saying, 'We're going to kill you,'" she said. "They started taking our pictures and saying, 'We're going to kill you. We know who you are."

Then she said a man jumped through the crowd and pushed her forehead.

Just then, a squad of police officers arrived in riot gear, surrounding the Christians and forming a protective human wall.

She said the police told them, "You have to leave if you want to make it out."

When the group continued praying, an officer came back and said, "You don't have a choice anymore. We're going to escort you out."

The officers then took the Christians to their cars. The angry mob began lunging at them through the riot gear and chanting "Shame on you!"

Some yelled, "We are going to follow you all the way home!" Others called the Christians "hypocrites."

One man screamed into a camera, "We don't ever want them coming back. Do you understand that, other Christians? Do you understand that, other Mormons? I'm talking to you, people. Yeah, you. Stay out of our neighborhood if you don't like us. Leave us alone!"

The woman said her group had merely organized a peaceful fellowship and wasn't there to condemn homosexuals.

"We hadn't preached," she said. "We hadn't evangelized. We worshipped God in peace, and we were about to die for it."

"Their rights were respected," Joe Schmitz, an opponent of Prop. 8, told San Francisco's KTVU Channel 2. "They got a chance to go ahead and pray on the sidewalk, and I had the opportunity to express my freedom of speech, which is telling them to get out of my neighborhood."

The following day, approximately 20,000 people marched in San Francisco to protest passage of California's Proposition 8 protecting traditional marriage. Several thousand people conducted other protests around the nation in cities such as Manhattan, Chicago and Los Angeles. According to reports, many protesters feeling emboldened by the recent election chanted, "Yes we can!" – a slogan popularized by the Barack Obama campaign.

The US economy probably went into recession in April in a downturn likely to last 14 months, according to a survey of forecasts released Monday by the Philadelphia Federal Reserve.

The 51 economists on average predicted an annualized drop in US economic output of 2.9 percent in the fourth quarter and a 1.1 percent decline in the first quarter of 2009, the Philly Fed said.

More than half of the panelists say their outlook is based on the assumption that Congress will pass a new stimulus package, with a size estimated at 211 billion dollars.

According to the forecasters, the stimulus package will begin to affect real growth in the first quarter of 2009. They saw modest growth of 0.8 percent and 0.9 percent returning in the second and third quarters, respectively, improving to 2.3 percent in the fourth quarter.

Don't be distracted by the birth certificate and Indonesia issues. They are irrelevant to Senator Obama's ineligibility to be President. Since Barack Obama's father was a Citizen of Kenya and therefore subject to the jurisdiction of the United Kingdom at the time of Senator Obama's birth, then Senator Obama was a British Citizen "at birth", just like the Framers of the Constitution, and therefore, even if he were to produce an original birth certificate proving he were born on US soil, he still wouldn't be eligible to be President.

The Framers of the Constitution, at the time of their birth, were also British Citizens and that's why the Framers declared that, while they were Citizens of the United States, they themselves were not "natural born Citizens". Hence their inclusion of the grandfather clause in Article 2, Section 1, Clause 5 of the Constitution:

No person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution shall be eligible to the Office of President;

That's it right there. (Emphasis added.)

The Framers wanted to make themselves eligible to be President, but they didn't want future generations to be Governed by a Commander In Chief who had split loyalty to another Country. The Framers were comfortable making an exception for themselves. They did, after all, create the Constitution. But they were not comfortable with the possibility of future generations of Presidents being born under the jurisdiction of Foreign Powers, especially Great Britain and its monarchy, who the Framers and Colonists fought so hard in the American Revolution to be free of.

Organizers have march leaders and groups coordinated in all 50 states, even in towns as small as Decorah, Iowa, population 8,172.

"Guess the whole 'Yes We Can' Obama thing got something started," writes poster kgongre, advertising the event on OpEdNews.com. "Too bad so many who voted for progress with one hand tried to shove us back in the closet with the other. No. Not going to work that way this time.

The planned day of protest is being coordinated through a website called Join the Impact, which states its movement seeks to "look forward toward what needs to be done now to achieve one goal: Full equality for ALL."

President-Elect Obama need to honestly and completely fill out his own application before demanding such from people who like to work for him. Should he not be held to a higher standard? Fact is he is the MOST UNVETTED, dishonest candidate, always dodging issues or being evasive in his answers to inquiries! Will someone ask him this question during the next press conference?

Do you know that the questionnaire being sent by his office to those who desire to serve on the cabinet and other high-ranking posts may be the most extensive in history, even invasive?

It includes 63 requests for personal and professional records, some covering applicants’ spouses and grown children. Children too? Get this! Applicants are asked whether they or anyone in their family owns a gun! They must include any e-mail that might embarrass the president-elect, along with any blog posts and links to their Facebook pages.

It asks applicants to “please list all aliases or ‘handles’ you have used to communicate on the Internet.” Wow! Gestapo is coming to town! We need to know it all! The vetting process for executive branch jobs has reached a peak! However, why hasn’t Obama himself fully disclosed his own radical, leftist, shady PAST? This is the height of hypocrisy!

“President-elect Obama made a commitment to change the way Washington does business, and the vetting process exemplifies that,” said Stephanie Cutter, chief spokeswoman for the Obama transition office. Okay, but why doesn’t he lead the way by EXAMPLE? Where is his medical records, his college records, thesis, birth certificate…? HELLO? Will Obama disclose his membership in the socialist New Party? The first question asks applicants not just for a résumé, but for every résumé and biographical statement issued by them or others for the past 10 years — a likely safeguard against résumé falsehoods, one Clinton administration veteran said.

Most information must cover at least the past decade, including memberships in groups that have discriminated on the basis of race, sex, disability, ethnicity, religion or sexual orientation. How about Obama’s membership in the most RACIST, Anti-American Trinity Church of Christ?

There are no time limits for some information, including liens, tax audits, lawsuits, legal charges, bankruptcies or arrests. Howe about telling us the 4-5 lawsuits against him?

The answer could duplicate the response to Question 8: “Briefly describe the most controversial matters you have been involved with during the course of your career.” Well, Obama would have a long list! His helping Racist Louis Farrakhan to organize million man march in DC! His serving closely with Ayers, his campaigning for Commie Odinga in Kenya in 2006 on tax payer’s money, as a starter.

There will be more forms, for security and ethics clearances from the FBI. Has the FBI thoroughly vetted Obama, anyone ever looked into this? With his BAGGAGE, he would not even past a low security clearance! .

No. Germany, just before electing Adolf Hitler to lead their country, with the apparent support of the majority of those who considered themselves Christians.

We're rereading a book []by Erwin Lutzer []. In it Lutzer looks at the holocaust and the rise of Hitler and asks the question: where was the Church? This book is a fascinating read, particularly in this time of economic upheaval and election year rhetoric.

Did you know that Hitler was elected to power through a democratic process? He only became a dictator after he had risen to power through the voting process. And the people elected him in large part because they were convinced he would fix the deteriorating economy and restore Germany to the prominence and prosperity it had once enjoyed. Writes Lutzer:

...he would give the appearance of being one of the masses, but in reality he would be quite another...At times he could be charming and forgiving...Privately (and sometimes publicly) he prided himself in his honesty, yet often he reveled in his abilty to deceive. "The German people must be misled if the support of the masses is required," he mused.

Hitler holds a fascination for us because his dictatorship enjoyed such wide support of the people. Perhaps never in history was a dictator so well liked. He had the rare gift of motivating a nation to want to follow him. Communist leaders such as Lenin or Mao Tse-tung rose to power through revolutions that cost millions of lives; consequently they were hated by the masses. Hitler attracted not only the support of the middle class but also of university students and professors.

Rahm Emanuel has proposed, in his book "The Plan", that young people, between the ages of 18 and 25, be enlisted for 3 months of civilian service. They would report for basic civil defense training in their state or community to learn what to do in the event of biochemical, neclear, or conventional attack. On WMAL Radio, Washington, DC, this morning, I heard Chris Plante tell people about this book and about Emanuel's youth training. He played a radio snip of Obama saying that "this youth corps should be as strong and as well-financed as our military..."

As Richard Nixon wrote, “history is written by liberals,” but the story of the 2008 campaign is too important to cede to them the analysis of what happened. A close analysis of the returns indicates several key realities:

a) Sarah Palin made a vast difference in McCain’s favor. Compared to 2004, McCain lost 11 points among white men, according to the Fox News exit poll, but only four points among white women. Obama’s underperformance among white women, evident throughout the fall, may be chalked up, in large part, to the influence of Sarah Palin. She provided a rallying point for women who saw their political agenda in terms larger than abortion. She addressed the question of what it is like to be a working mother in today’s economy and society and resonated with tens of millions of white women who have not responded to the more traditional, and liberal, advocates for their gender.

b) Turnout did not increase substantially. Despite predictions (by me and others) of a vastly greater voter turnout, it didn’t happen. About 127 million people voted in 2008, compared to 122 million in 2004. By contrast, turnout rose by almost 20 million between 2000 and 2004. The emphasis on early voting and the heavy participation in primaries indicated the likelihood of a huge increase in turnout, but, on Election Day, the turnout was modest.

c) The black vote made a huge difference; but young people did not. Obama, as expected, generated a big increase in African-American voter turnout. Fox News’s exit polls estimate that blacks constituted 13 percent of the turnout in 2008, compared with 11 percent in 2004 and 10 percent in 2000. The Missing Obama Landslide

The results are in: Obama 52 percent. McCain 46 percent. The "Obama Landslide" is pure fiction. Republicans have no reason to move to Harper's Canada (this year) although Berlusconi's conservative Italy looks simply divine.

In 1988, George H.W. Bush won 53.4%, against a feisty Democrat, and a hostile media. Thus, this year's election is more of a symbolic made-for-television election story, than a mammoth landslide movie. Now it is time for reality to kick in.

Days, nay weeks before the polls, however, there were many landslide theme stories. "Yes, this could be 1932 again," enthused Andrew Sullivan in "Obama rides landslide machine" (UK Times, Oct. 19). Recall FDR's glorious anti-free speech days.

In "How the Coming Obama Landslide Will Trump The Bradley Effect," the Huffington Post's Steve Kettmann pontificated about a massive win for the Democrat (Oct. 10). "If Obama can really pull off a landslide, we the American people will have spoken loud and clear that it is time to come together" and "turn away from the politics of division and resentment" that liberals love to wax lyrical about. "An Obama landslide? You betcha."

Fake polls and propaganda talking points are also inseparable allies, and tend to dishearten voters. Looking back, over some of those final pro-Obama polls, one can now demonstrate that they are as scientific as Al Gore's last polar bear studies.

The New York Times and Newsweek, of course, win silver and gold for the most inaccurate numbers. CBS/Times, for example, forecast an 11-point Obama win, 52-41, whilst the leftwing Newsweek prophesized a 12-point victory for The One, 53-41. As Ann Coulter points out in "Eighty-Four Percent Say They'd Never Lie To A Pollster" (Oct. 15, 2008), calm heads need to (a) see polls in their historical context and (b) see polls in their current political context (but hide your money under the bed, just in case).

States Coulter: "Reviewing the polls printed in The New York Times and The Washington Post in the last month of every presidential election since 1976, I found the polls were never wrong in a friendly way to Republicans. When the polls were wrong, which was often, they overestimated support for a Democrat, usually by about 6 to 10 points." An example: "In 1980, Ronald Reagan beat Carter by nearly 10 points, 51 percent to 41 percent. In a Gallup Poll released days before the election on Oct. 27, it was Carter who led Reagan 45 percent to 42 percent." Once again, history speaks volumes.

Looking over the new election map too, we see that even in Obama's America, the "flyover lands" are overwhelmingly steak-and-potato, pro-life. South Carolina, Nebraska, Montana, Alaska, Texas, Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, Kentucky, West Virginia, Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Kansas, South Dakota, North Dakota, Arizona, Utah, Wyoming, and Idaho, still vote Republican in spite of the media's anti-conservative hostility, in an economic downturn. Here are some more extraordinary results:

- McCain's success in Oklahoma (66%), now America's reddest state. Curiously, the name Oklahoma comes from a local native Indian phrase okla homma, meaning red people.

- McCain's success in big mixed-marriage states like Alaska (62%) and NASCAR-friendly states like Idaho (62%).

- Mc Cain's success in Jerusalem. The GOP is able to win over many American Jews living in Israel, but not Florida's Jewish retirement villages (this year).

- McCain's success in Utah (62%). The Mormon-majority "redneck" region is also a center of technology and research (with the highest birthrate of any state). Gay liberals just can't seem to beat The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

But this is also a schizophrenic time for leftwing California, one of America's bluest states. Gay marriage is out. And, so too are radical green policies, for now. Hmmm...did Andrew Sullivan see that freight train coming? Hardly a cry for liberalism.

So, I guess this means that the Huffington Post will have to live with a certain amount of disappointment. Barack "52 percent" Obama does not have an FDR Landslide, with 42 states and a Mosaic mandate.

Is Ann Coulter going to do a Michael Moore and sleep in for, say, three days, and eat her concerns away? Will the GOP whine about sexism and ageism for the next four years? Will Bush's staff -- like Clinton/Gore's before him -- trash the White House before they leave and ask taxpayers to foot the bill? No, no, and no.

In 2009, I'm going to sit back and watch Obama lead, and make good on his magical promises. You see, even Californians can't live off tear-inducing slogans. Or fake landslides. In the end, 2008, the symbolic election, is important for obvious reasons, but so too is running a country, and even symbols must lead.

Hamas held a meeting in the Gaza Strip several months ago with aides to President-elect Barack Obama, but the terror group was asked to keep the contacts secret until after last week's elections, according to a senior Hamas official.

Ahmed Yousef, Hamas' chief political adviser in Gaza, told the leading Al-Hayat Arabic-language newspaper Hamas has maintained regular communication with Obama aides that even continued during the past week.

"We were in contact with a number of Obama's aides through the Internet, and later met with some of them in Gaza, but they advised us not to come out with any statements, as they may have a negative effect on his election campaign and be used by Republican candidate John McCain (to attack Obama)," Yousuf told Al-Hayat.

The paper is edited by Abdel al-Bari Atwan, who is said to be the last journalist to interview Osama bin Laden in 1996. According to the report, bin Laden is himself closely following preparations for an attack against the US and aims to "change the face of world politics and economics". The operative is quoted as saying that "this will be shown by the fact that we now control a major part of the south of Somalia".

The ex-operative says he remains in contact with current chiefs of the organisation in Yemen and that only six months ago bin Laden had sent a message to all jihad cells in the Arab world which asked them not to interact with their governments or local political parties and to deny any request for mediation or formal talks.

The source also said that during the next few days the terrorist organisation may send a sign of its violent intentions.

The warning has emerged at the same time as publication of a report leaked to The Telegraph newspaper which reveals that a document drawn up by the intelligence branch of the Ministry of Defence says that thousands of extremists are active in the UK.

The document says the operatives are predominantly UK-born and aged between 18 and 30. Many are believed to have been trained in overseas terrorist camps.

Security officials, The Telegraph reports, are convinced al-Qaeda cells will attempt another "spectacular" inside the UK with major transport centres, such as airports and train stations, the most likely targets. "It may sound a bit crazy and off base, but the thing is, he's the one who proposed this national security force," Rep. Paul Broun said of Obama in an interview Monday with The Associated Press. "I'm just trying to bring attention to the fact that we may — may not, I hope not — but we may have a problem with that type of philosophy of radical socialism or Marxism."

Broun cited a July speech by Obama that has circulated on the Internet in which the then-Democratic presidential candidate called for a civilian force to take some of the national security burden off the military.

"That's exactly what Hitler did in Nazi Germany and it's exactly what the Soviet Union did," Broun said. "When he's proposing to have a national security force that's answering to him, that is as strong as the U.S. military, he's showing me signs of being Marxist."

Obama's comments about a national security force came during a speech in Colorado about building a new civil service corps. Among other things, he called for expanding the nation's foreign service and doubling the size of the Peace Corps "to renew our diplomacy."

"We cannot continue to rely only on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives that we've set," Obama said in July. "We've got to have a civilian national security force that's just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded."

Broun said he also believes Obama likely will move to ban gun ownership if he does build a national police force.

Obama has said he respects the Second Amendment right to bear arms and favors "common sense" gun laws. Gun rights advocates interpret that as meaning he'll at least enact curbs on ownership of assault weapons and concealed weapons. As an Illinois state lawmaker, Obama supported a ban on semiautomatic weapons and tighter restrictions on firearms generally.

"We can't be lulled into complacency," Broun said. "You have to remember that Adolf Hitler was elected in a democratic Germany. I'm not comparing him to Adolf Hitler. What I'm saying is there is the potential."

Obama's transition office did not respond immediately to Broun's remarks.

Over 5 million Californians clearly chose to support the marriage amendment - despite the overwhelming pressure from liberal groups, California's own government and deep pocket donors like Apple Computer.

Now, the ACLU is saying that the majroity voters of California have no right to amend their own Constitution! That is because radical groups like the ACLU want the final determination as to what the Constitution says!

The American Civil Liberties Union, Lambda Legal and the National Center for Lesbian Rights filed a writ petition before the California Supreme Court today urging the court to invalidate Proposition 8 if it passes. The petition charges that Proposition 8 is invalid because the initiative process was improperly used in an attempt to undo the constitution's core commitment to equality for everyone by eliminating a fundamental right from just one group – lesbian and gay Californians.
Proposition 8 also improperly attempts to prevent the courts from exercising their essential constitutional role of protecting the equal protection rights of minorities. According to the California Constitution, such radical changes to the organizing principles of state government cannot be made by simple majority vote through the initiative process, but instead must, at a minimum, go through the state legislature first.

The California Constitution itself sets out two ways to alter the document that sets the most basic rules about how state government works. Proposition 8 was put on the ballot through the initiative process. But any measure that would change the underlying principles of the constitution must first be approved by the legislature before being submitted to the voters. That didn't happen with Proposition 8, and that's why it's invalid.

"If the voters approved an initiative that took the right to free speech away from women, but not from men, everyone would agree that such a measure conflicts with the basic ideals of equality enshrined in our constitution.

Proposition 8 suffers from the same flaw – it removes a protected constitutional right – here, the right to marry – not from all Californians, but just from one group of us," said Jenny Pizer, a staff attorney with Lambda Legal. "That's too big a change in the principles of our constitution to be made just by a bare majority of voters."
"A major purpose of the constitution is to protect minorities from majorities. Because changing that principle is a fundamental change to the organizing principles of the constitution itself, only the legislature can initiate such revisions to the constitution," added Elizabeth Gill, a staff attorney with the ACLU of Northern California.

The groups filed the lawsuit today in the California Supreme Court on behalf of Equality California and 6 same-sex couples who did not marry before Tuesday's election but would like to be able to marry now.

The groups filed a writ petition in the California Supreme Court before the elections presenting similar arguments because they believed the initiative should not have appeared on the ballot, but the court dismissed that petition without addressing its merits. That earlier order is not precedent here.

"Historically, courts are reluctant to get involved in disputes if they can avoid doing so," said Shannon Minter, Legal Director of NCLR. "It is not uncommon for the court
to wait to see what happens at the polls before considering these legal arguments. However, now that Proposition 8 may pass, the courts will have to weigh in and we believe they will agree that Proposition 8 should never have been on the ballot in the first place."

This would not be the first time the court has struck down an improper voter initiative. In 1990, the court stuck down an initiative that would have added a provision to the California Constitution stating that the "Constitution shall not be construed by the courts to afford greater rights to criminal defendants than those afforded by the Constitution of the United States." That measure was invalid because it improperly attempted to strip California's courts of their role as independent interpreters of the state's constitution.
In a statement issued earlier today, the groups stated their conviction, which is shared by the California Attorney General, that the state must continue to honor the marriages of the 18,000 lesbian and gay couples who have already married in California.

Like Smith, gun enthusiasts nationwide are stocking up on firearms out of fears that the combination of an Obama administration and a Democrat-dominated Congress will result in tough new gun laws.

"I think they're going to really try to crack down on guns and make it harder for people to try to purchase them," said Smith, 32, who taught all five of her children — ages 4 to 10 — to shoot because the family relies on game for food.

Last month, as an Obama win looked increasingly inevitable, there were 62,000 more background checks for gun purchases than in October 2007, a 25 percent increase. And they were up about 8 percent for the year as of Oct. 26, according to the FBI.

No data was available for gun purchases this week, but gun shops from suburban Virginia to the Rockies report record sales since Tuesday's election.

"They're scared to death of losing their rights," said David Hancock, manager of Bob Moates, where sales have nearly doubled in the past week and are up 15 percent for the year. On Election Day, salespeople were called in on their day off because of the crowd.

According to a Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey, 69 percent of Republican voters say the Alaska governor helped McCain’s bid for the presidency. Twenty percent of GOP voters said she hurt the ticket, six percent said she had no effect, and 5 percent were undecided.

Their story is that Obama registered huge masses of new supporters and got them to the polls. At first, that was what I thought, but that is not the key factor. I was expecting the highest percentage turnout in 100 years amounting to 130,000,000 voters, but instead as of 5:00 PM EDT, 121,146,964 people voted for Obama or McCain. In 2004, 121,069,054 people voted for Bush or Kerry. Hence in a hotly contested election in which a fortune was spent on the race, there was no big surge in voter turnout. The population is bigger and the number of registered voters is larger than in 2004, yet just about the same number of people voted. What are we to make of this? We know that a higher than normal percentage of minorities and under 30 youths turned out pushing up the Democratic votes. We know that about 15% of Democrats who voted for Hillary Clinton voted for McCain-Palin (the PUMA voters). So how are we to explain the results? The conclusion is inescapable. The Republicans stayed home in droves. Obama did not win the election, the Republicans gave it to him by not getting out and voting.

"A downturn in the number and percentage of Republican voters going to the polls seemed to be the primary explanation for the lower than predicted turnout. The percentage of eligible citizens voting Republican declined to 28.7 percent down 1.3 percentage points from 2004. Democratic turnout increased by 2.6 percentage points from 28.7 percent of eligibles to 31.3 percent. It was the seventh straight increase in the Democratic share of the eligible vote since the party’s share dropped to 22.7 percent of eligibles in 1980."

Lawsuits Flying Against Prop. 8

As expected, opponents of Prop. 8 just don't get it. After 5,338,497 voters told them marriage should be only between a man and a woman, the minority side resorts to the court once again to try to overturn the majority's wishes. The State Supreme Court is once again being used as the tool to overturn the majority's decision.

Although this court had recently turned down requests to strike down Prop. 8 from even making the ballot, and is expected to let Prop. 8 stand, activist judges could do strange things because they do not feel that their role is just to interpret the law. So we need to continue to pray, and to fight.

The triple homicide of actress-singer Jennifer Hudson's kin has thrown crime into the national spotlight – along with Barack Obama's hometown, which is the new murder capital of the U.S. Chicago has seen more murders this year than both New York and Los Angeles.

Yet you won't hear Obama talk about crime or his policy to fight it. That's because he doesn't have one – unless you call hugging thugs a crime policy.

One of the first things Obama would do as president is repeal mandatory minimum sentences for crack and other drug offenders to "reduce the ineffective warehousing" of such criminals, according to his website. He favors "drug rehabilitation" over incarceration for even "a second-time offender," according to a 2007 interview he gave to the Michigan Chronicle, Detroit's second-largest African-American newspaper.

Decriminalizing pot is also on the table. "We need to rethink and decriminalize our marijuana laws," said Obama, who admits to smoking weed and doing "a little blow" as a young man.

As an Illinois state senator, Obama voted to weaken penalties on gangbangers who deal drugs in schools.

He also wants to rehabilitate inmates through prison-to-work programs. Obama's pet charity, ACORN, has such a program. It hired 59 inmates at its Las Vegas office this year. They proceeded to fraudulently register voters using the names of Dallas Cowboys football stars. A police affidavit quoted a supervisor describing them as "lazy crack-heads" who just wanted money for drugs.

ACORN and Obama have been working to restore voting rights for felons, which would be another priority of his administration. "At a minimum," Obama told the black Detroit paper, "those who serve their sentences should be re-enfranchised."

In Illinois, he unsuccessfully sponsored a measure to expunge some criminal records. He thinks they are used as a "stigma" against blacks.

Obama also wants to outlaw police use of racial descriptions as a means to capture suspects, including Middle-Eastern terrorists. As a U.S. senator, he's already co-sponsored federal legislation to ban "racial profiling."

At the same time, he wants to limit your right to protect yourself from criminals by permanently banning assault weapons, among other gun-control measures to de-"cling" you from your guns.

As a state lawmaker, Obama supported a ban on the sale and transfer of all forms of semi-automatic firearms, along with a bill limiting handgun purchases to one a month. In a 1996 questionnaire supplied by a liberal Chicago nonprofit group, he answered "yes" to supporting legislation to "ban the manufacture, sale and possession of handguns."

Obama fought a bill in the Illinois senate that would send youth who commit a second violent felony to prison. He fought to keep even the most violent juvenile offenders out of the adult system.

Instead, "We must provide more ladders to success for young men who fall into lives of crime," he said at the Denver convention. One ladder he has in mind is funding contractors who train "ex-felons on projects that can benefit the community as a whole: insulating homes and offices to make them energy-efficient, perhaps."

Terrorists could also catch a break. "I would vote to repeal the U.S. Patriot Act," he said in 2003. Now he says he would merely repeal the parts of it that are "just plain wrong," whatever those are.

Obama, who would as president have the power to pardon criminals, isn't a big fan of U.S. laws in general, at least not as currently written. He thinks they are racist, along with the courts.

"We have certain sentences that are based less on the kind of crime you commit than on what you look like," he told Howard University students last year. "It's time to seek a new dawn of justice."

"Laws are sometimes malleable," he wrote two years ago, and he plans to "fix" what he sees as a "broken" criminal justice system. And he favors judges with the "empathy to understand what it's like to be poor or African-American."

That worries some legal analysts. "If Obama wins," warns Northwestern University law professor Steven Calabresi, "we could possibly see the abolition of capital punishment and mass freeing of criminal defendants."

In fact, Obama in the 1996 questionnaire responded "no" to supporting capital punishment. His website now calls for unspecified "reform" of the death penalty, which he contended in his book "does little to deter crime."

Obama will, however, get tough on "hate crimes." He plans to pack the criminal section of Justice's Civil Rights Division with African-American prosecutors, and make "hate crime a priority."

He will "reinvigorate federal civil-rights enforcement" by prosecuting alleged civil-rights abuses by local officials, such as the Jena, La., district attorney. "As president," his website says, "Obama will ensure that the section vigorously pursues such cases."

Suburban employers won't be safe from Obama's race cops, either.

"Anyone who thinks that such enforcement is no longer needed should pay a visit to one of the suburban office parks in their area and count the number of blacks employed there," Obama complained in his 2006 autobiography.

And woe to suspected disenfranchisers. "When fliers are placed in our neighborhoods telling people to vote on the wrong day, that won't only be an injustice, it will be a crime," he promised black graduates at Howard.

Also, "I will crack down on predatory lenders who all too often target the African-American community," Obama vowed, "with tough penalties that treat mortgage fraud like the crime it is."

It's plain where Obama's priorities lie.

"Jesus has a soft spot for thugs," preaches Rev. Otis Moss, the "wonderful young pastor," as Obama described him, who took over the pulpit from retired Rev. Jeremiah Wright at Obama's longtime church in Chicago.

Apparently so does Obama.

Obama Gains With Religious Voters

In building a winning coalition of religious voters, Barack Obama cut into the so-called God gap that puts frequent worshippers in the Republican column, won Catholics, made inroads with younger evangelicals, and racked up huge numbers with minorities and people with no religious affiliation.

By some measures, the faith-based equivalent of the red and blue map didn't change that much: Large voting blocs like white Catholics and evangelical Protestants remained in the Republican camp, for example.

The early indications from exit polls don't suggest a fundamental reshaping of religion's role in electing presidents, but they do show Obama made progress on important fronts that hold promise for future Democratic religious coalitions that cross racial lines, analysts said.

"It really doesn't look to me like a realignment," said John Green, a senior fellow at the Pew Forum on Religion and Public Life. Rather, he said, Obama made religion work for him in a way other Democrats haven't.

The economy, meanwhile, dominated voters' priorities across religious lines, blunting the impact of issues like abortion and gay marriage that historically help move religious votes.

The Obama campaign made a strong pitch for religious voters, building grassroots support through "faith house parties" where religion and the candidates were discussed, putting Catholic and evangelical surrogates on the stump, and holding faith caucus meetings at the Democratic convention in August.

Yet when it came down to the final Sunday, the campaign turned to traditional Democratic religious turf: African-American churches, where a letter from the candidate was read urging voter participation.

Exit polls showed Obama winning big with black Protestants (94 percent backed him), Hispanic Catholics (72 percent), and Hispanic Protestants and other Christians (67 percent). Obama won the election handily even though white Catholics and white Protestants backed Republican John McCain.

"This is a coalition that includes white Christians," Green said of Obama's faith-based bloc. "It's just white Christians aren't the senior partners in this coalition."

On one key measure that has hurt Democrats before _ the God or religion gap _ Obama made up ground. He won 43 percent of weekly churchgoers to McCain's 55 percent. Not great, but an improvement over John Kerry taking 39 percent of that vote to George Bush's 61 percent.

Among voters who attend church more than once a week, Obama narrowed a 29-point Republican advantage in 2004 (64 percent to 35 percent) to a 12-point Republican advantage edge (55 percent to 43 percent).

White evangelicals remain a key component of the Republican coalition. In one indicator of turnout, exit polls show they were 23 percent of the electorate, 3 percent higher than in 2004.

On Tuesday, McCain carried white evangelicals 74 percent to 24 percent _ a dominating performance, but short of George Bush's 79 percent to 21 percent margin over John Kerry in 2004. McCain also fell short of Bush's numbers on white evangelicals in swing states like Colorado, where he performed 15 points worse than Bush, and Ohio, where he fell 6 points below Bush numbers.

Young evangelicals were part of the reason, exit polls show. Nationally, 32 percent of white evangelicals between 18 and 29 favored Obama _ nine to 10 points better than Obama did with white evangelicals between 30 and 64.

The Obama campaign never had designs on carving out a big chunk of the white evangelical vote. But because it's such a large bloc, a little can make a difference _ and the target was young evangelicals.

If young evangelicals are more open to Democrats, that carries implications for the Republican Party, the direction of the evangelical Christian movement and Democratic politics.

"If you put younger white evangelicals together with black evangelicals, Hispanic evangelicals, progressive evangelicals and others who are not evangelical, I think there is perhaps a shift in the religious landscape and the political landscape that may be a long-term shift," said David Gushee, a professor of Christian ethics at Mercer University in Atlanta.

Conservative evangelicals, meanwhile, found something positive in the success in Arizona, Florida and California of constitutional amendments that define marriage as between one man and one woman.

"When the values and what's at stake is clear, the voters get it every time," said Carrie Gordon Earl, senior director of public policy for Colorado Springs-based Focus on the Family. "With Obama, there was a concerted effort to court evangelicals by misrepresenting, in our view, Obama's positions."

Again, Catholics proved to be a swing vote. Obama won the Catholic vote 54 percent to 45 percent, four years after Bush won Catholics 52 to 47 percent. Obama lost the white Catholic vote 52 percent to 47 percent, but that was still four points better than Kerry's showing. The candidates were evenly split among Catholics who go to Mass weekly.

A number of U.S. Catholic bishops emphasized abortion as a paramount voting issue this year, including Denver Archbishop Charles Chaput, who strongly criticized Obama's abortion rights positions. In an e-mail Wednesday, Chaput said the attractiveness of Obama as a candidate, the primacy of the economy as an issue and the Democrats' "explicitly religion-friendly public relations" played a role in the Catholic result.

He also said: "The more serious Catholics are about their faith _ in other words, where they invest their time, convictions and behavior _ the less likely they were to vote for Sen. Obama." Chaput said Obama's strong showing among Latino Catholics doesn't make them less serious about their faith, but means other factors are at work, including the experience of being a minority.

Obama's Catholic showing was greeted differently on the Catholic left. Stephen Schneck, director of the Life Cycle Institute at the Catholic University of America, said Obama's emphasis on service, the communal good, pragmatic solutions and "raising the quality of life for the least among us" were all Catholic draws.

One of the Democrats' largest gains came among voters unaffiliated with any religion. Obama won that demographic 75 percent to 23 percent, an eight-point swing from Kerry's performance in 2004.

Lawyers for same-sex couples said they will argue that the anti-gay-marriage measure was an illegal constitutional revision -- not a more limited amendment, as backers said. The legal action contends that Proposition 8 actually revises the state Constitution by altering such fundamental tenets as equal-protection guarantees. A measure to revise the state Constitution can be placed before voters only by the Legislature Gay-marriage proponents see it differently. "A major purpose of the Constitution is to protect minorities from majorities. Because changing that principle is a fundamental change to the organizing principles of the Constitution itself, only the Legislature can initiate such revisions to the Constitution," said Elizabeth Gill, a staff attorney with the ACLU of Northern California.

It is a matter of fairness, said Jenny Pizer, a staff attorney with Lambda Legal. "If the voters approved an initiative that took the right to free speech away from women, but not from men, everyone would agree that such a measure conflicts with the basic ideals of equality enshrined in our Constitution. Proposition 8 suffers from he same flaw: It removes a protected constitutional right -- here, the right to marry -- not from all Californians, but just from one group of us," she said.

The lawsuit was filed on behalf of Equality California and six same-sex couples who did not marry before Tuesday's election but would like to marry now.

The state high court has twice before invalidated measures as illegal revisions, but some legal analysts expressed doubt that the Proposition 8 challenge would succeed.
Similar attempts to overturn anti-gay-marriage measures have failed in Oregon
and Alaska.

A spokesman for San Francisco City Atty. Dennis Herrera said he would also file a legal challenge.

Marriage Amendment Passed In All 3 States - Praise The Lord!!

While we are disappointed at the selection of Obama as the next President, we are excited that the Marriage Amendment is being approved in all three states: California, Arizona and Florida. It sends a very clear message that voters want marriage to be limited to one man and one woman.

In California, when I went to bed last night at 2 a.m. Proposition 8 was winning by about 300,000 votes. This morning it went above 400,000. Currently with 95.8% of the votes counted, it is 5,195,136 (52.1%) YES votes versus 4,779,297 (47.9%) NO votes. Neither the SF Chronicle nor the LA Times has called the results as these liberals are still hoping that a miracle would happen. But where can they find 426,017 more NO votes out of the remaining 4.2%, when the uncounted votes are mainly from conservative counties like Riverside and San Bernadino? I expect when all votes are counted Proposition 8 will pass by a margin of more than 500,000 votes or 5%.

In Arizona, with 81% of the precincts reported, Proposition 102 is leading by 56% vs. 44%. Many sources including Associated Press (AP) have already declared that same-sex marriage is banned in Arizona!

AP has done the same for Florida. Even though 60% of the votes are needed to pass the constitutional amendment banning same-sex marriage in Florida, 62.1% of the voters voted Yes!

In Arkansas, voters even approved a proposition banning unmarried couples from serving as adopted or foster parents.

Our gratutide goes out to the people who have worked very hard to get this done. In California, a group of Christians had the foresight to round up enough signatures for it to be placed in the ballot BEFORE the 4 activitist judges declare the ban on same sex marriage unconstitutional. The measure was 17% behind initially. Liberal Attorney General Jerry Brown changed the description of the Proposition to a very biased one that says ELIMINATES RIGHT OF SAME-SEX COUPLES TO MARRY. But against all odds these people worked tirelessly to get out the YES votes.

Above all, we praise God for what he is doing to keep marriage intact. While this gives us some breathing room for the moment, the enemy will continue to try to destroy marriage. Let's stay alert.

If you have been in the body of a 50 year old and could talk half as well as the Messiah, could you have won, possibly, according to exit poll.

If half of the Americans have not been so brain-dead, brainwashed or greedy (to get government welfare), could you have won it, again, yes!

Secondarily, we also feel that that the following factors contributed to your loss. Please be open-minded.

In hind sight, and to prevent future repeats, would you concede that perhaps if you have a better organized, campaign with a brilliant strategy and a coherent theme like Barak’s change theme , it could have made a big difference? Instead we hear of internal in fightings.

We know yo had a cozy relationship in the past with the MSM, but rarely we hear you point out how they are engaged in a news blackout, aiding & abetting your opponent.

Had you listen to hundred of conservatories opinion makers begging you to just bring back up Rev. Wright, or to bring up Obama’s numerous other leftists friends, the situation would have been different. Why zero on Ayers only? Instead we heard you were so afraid to bring up Rev. Wright for fear you will lose Powell's endorsement. By the time you decide to bring it up the last week, it's too little, too late. Big Miscaculation!

We wish you had defined socialism, as many younger Americans have no idea why it’s bad!

I wish you had held a press conference and raise all the issues about Obama being a huge security risk, his numerous leftists alliance, his numerous communist & terrorist endorsements, his failure to produce many basic documents, including a real birth certificate. I PLEADED with yo with numerous emails. They seem to fall on deaf ears? We rarely hear you adopt many valid points that outsiders bring to you.

You promised to take of your gloves at the third debate, but your glove is still too soft! Borrow Chuck Norris’!

I wish you had unleashed Gov. Palin rather than allow the handlers to muzzle her. I pleased with you to put Sarah Palin on every radio and TV Ads then on! It would have wooed many and won hearts & souls!

For the life of me, why won’t you humble yourself & call on Rush Show? Why did you never get on Oreily’s show, he has 6 million listeners? He invited you recently, instead you went on Larry King, with 1 million listeners!

You have missed some many opportunities to seize the moment/issue (ex. the Odinga

alliance in Kenya) to put Obama on the defensive, like the endorsement and known friendship with Louis Farrakhan, but you seem to be so afraid of being called names like,” Racist” Why did you run for this office if you are so scared the kitchen might get too hot?

Please do not take this as a personal attacks on you. We all are learning from this campaign. I believe I speak for millions of Conservatives out there, who have spent countless hours helping you. We shall fight on!

Watch Indiana & Kentucky-% lead

A Republican typically is supposed to carry Indiana and Kentucky.

If he ties in the national race, he is supposed to win each of these two states by 9 points apiece.

So what is happening in these two states?

With 13 percent of the vote in, McCain is winning Indiana by 3 points, 5 less than he should.

But he is winning Kentucky, with 14 percent of the vote, by 11 points — 2 points more than he should.

We need to watch these two states closely.

Once half or more of the vote is in, and we can begin to figure out what is happening, they should give us a clue to what is happening nationally.

Pastor Mark Arnold in Lebanon , Ohio who wrote the below account. This account is true. He first sent this out to just a tiny handful of friends and relatives, never dreaming that, thanks to email, it would soon travel around the world. As of 3:30 p.m. today, September 25, he's heard back from 49 states, 11 nations, several major Christian ministries and news networks and is receiving 70-100 emails an hour. He is refusing money from the news networks for the story even though he's a "tent-maker" pastor of a little church who works 50-hour weeks besides his church duties.

He was asked what he felt the value was in letting this story go public. He said he is seeing people moved and coming out of the "caves" they've been in, coming alive and realizing that they need to get back involved in the affairs of the nation and not sleep through this season like the church did when they allowed prayer to be removed from schools. "God asked me if I would obey and I did," he said. "I was a "Mordecai for her (Sarah Palin); I did my part. Now the church has to do their part."

This past Tuesday, the McCain / Palin Bus came through a little town called, Lebanon , Ohio . The LORD allowed me to go to the Rally giving them a message that He wanted me to personally deliver.

Sunday Night - a burden hit me that would only shake me to my knees - I prayed and wept for our Nation. Never has my heart been so broken before God. I literally interceded for these wonderful people who do not deserve all the hate against them. The GOD-Haters are going to try everything to stop them, but they will not succeed!

God is not pleased with the "bashing" in the News of this "Anointed" person. He has called her for this time! I promised God that I would pray and hold them up in prayer. I would "listen" out and be mindful of where they were. The following day is important in this timeline...because I didn't even know until God spoke to me...

Monday and into Monday Night - the burden of prayer was so heavy that I was literally shaking and could not stop weeping. I didn't know that they were coming to Ohio .. I prayed and walked and wept and walked. I prayed and prayed and wept and prayed...

Tuesday at 2:00 A.M. - God spoke these words to me - "...Go turn the Radio on!" Immediately the Reporter's Words were - "McCain & Palin Bus to be in Lebanon later this morning for a 10:00 A.M. Rally!"

Immediately on hearing that news, I heard God again...God said, "You are to go. You will meet them and give them a message for Me!"

I prayed as an intercessor and went to a place in prayer that I don't think I've ever been...because the LORD had just visited me...and I knew I was on a " Mission .." I had now been up since Sunday Night...and now it's Tuesday and I've got to go on the "WORD of the LORD." He sure became My Strength as this unfolds...

I didn't stop praying until I drove over to the town and parked the car. The News would later report they were expecting 5,000 people and the actual head-count of those who had be en scanned was more than 10,000 people.

I simply obeyed...and God actually told me where to stand, who to talk to...and when to be on the move. I had sure learned on the Mission Field, when God wants to open a door, He will do it at the appropriate time. He always has someone to assist...and even those standing beside you may just be an Angel.

I struck up a conversation with an agent on the ground - he simply said, "I can't allow you to stand here!" Here is where the bus was going to actually pull up to. They had to make a much larger perimeter so the entire area was now being moved back several blocks. The only other thing he told me to do was to go through the metal detector zone and just watch from the back. So, that's what I did.

Due to sensitivity of the Inter net...I can't share much of the story as to what happened next was a definite GOD THING ALL THE WAY.

Looking over the shoulders and backs and heads of all those people...I knew it would take a miracle for what GOD told me to do.

As I was standing there, two Boy Scouts came running up my back...literally, they almost knocked me to the ground because they were running so fast behind me...up my back and over to the right. These Boy Scouts were about Junior High Age. Their Scout Leader and several others were behind them...but as the two out front was trying to push through the crowd, saying they were late...the smaller scouts were left in their dust. The Scout Leader who was with a McCain Rep from the State grabbed me and told me bring the other Scouts up front as they try to keep up with the first two that just came through.

I just became the leader of the rest of the Scouts to lead them right up front and center. As the Rep was shouting back at me...to bring the Scouts forward...the people parted just like God parted the Red Sea .

I marched those boys right up front and to the right of the stage as one was looking from the back. When I got there I was fifteen feet from the podium. GOD said, "Stand here, and don't move from this spot."

Within five minutes...the bus pulled up and around the other side McCain, Sarah Palin and her husband Todd stepped up and the speeches took off. I was where God placed me...and even Sarah Palin and Todd were standing on my side of the stage. I made eye contact, I gave them thumbs up gestures...and I knew they were just happy to see me standing there. Ha Ha

When they came around the podium and started on the other side, I knew they were coming right toward me, a little lady who stood by me, reached up and told the Rep that they had promised a Picture with her because she was the one who had lost a son in Iraq , recently. The Rep confirmed she would get a pic with them and they would talk to her. When McCain came to hug her... he immediately shook my hand and following his moment with her, I shook his hand as he grabbed my hand, now for the second time, and I said, "God wants you to know that I'm praying for you, Sir!" He thanked me and kept smiling. I repeated that phrase to him five times. He grabbed my hands and looked right into my eyes and said, "I won't make it without prayer. Sir, Thank You for praying for me, and don't let one day go by that you don't pray for me. I need all the prayers that I can get. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!"

As he moved to my right, Sarah Palin, came over to my left side...standing over the crowd and then looking at the little lady who had lost the son. It took a moment for her to shake some hands and people were pushing in all around. Sarah came and got on her hands and knees on that side of the stage and hugged that little Mom, telling her, "...it was not in vain." She promised her support. It was at this moment Sarah Palin, reached out for me to help her up and as I was assisting her to stand I was now face to face with her and GOD said, "Open up your Mouth and I will fill it."

Here is what came out... "God wants you to know that you are a present day Esther!" [She immediately began to cry] "God wants to tell you that you are Chosen for such a time as this!" "You are called, and chosen to be a leader." "Don't lose heart and don't fear man." "The news and nay-sayers and criticizers are going to be very hateful toward you... and in the days ahead they are going to turn up the heat...but do not fear." "You are a present day Esther." You are an Esther. You are an Esther! "Keep your eyes on GOD and know that He has chosen you to Reign!" "Stay strong...be strong...don't tire. Don't be weary in well-doing. Be strong."

Her husband Todd came over and I told him what I told her. He began to cry. I emphasized the fact that he was to guard her at this time...and know that "...she is GOD-CALLED and GOD-ANOINTED." "...this is a GOD-THING and your wife is a Present day Esther...she is for God to use at this time...She is an Esther...she is an Esther...she is an Esther." "You will be hated...but stand strong...GOD has called both of you to stand!" "We are praying and I am praying for you...!"

At this moment, McCain came right to where I was finishing talking to Todd and I told Mr. McCain exactly what I told to Sarah and Todd Palin. "Mr. McCain, ....they are called of God and she is an Esther." "Don't lose hope and don't lose heart." "We are praying for all of you!" He shook my hand and with a deep look of understanding what I had just said, he said, "Thank you for your prayers and support...I really do mean that!" And he turned and shook more hands...and I watched them as they went through the crowd.

When I got to my car I sat there for quite a long time...knowing the GOD of the Universe had just used me to deliver a message confirming to Sarah and Todd to realize they are truly chosen vessels of God.

I wept. I have not stopped praying and crying. My heart is full knowing they had to have all the staging and all the hype and all the crowd...but the GOD of Heaven and Earth...wanted to give them a Divine-God-Appointment! To God be all the GLORY and HONOR.
