Democrats Refused To Thank the Troops

By: SW

The Surge has turned around the Iraq War and now the U.S. has a real chance of winning. Even Obama now reluctantly admits that the Surge is successful "beyond anyone's expectation". The U.S. military should be recognized for their hard work and sacrifice.

Yet Earlier last week, when the Senate was considering a bipartisan resolution to recognize the strategic success of the troop surge and to thank our men and women in uniform who are serving the country well, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and Armed Services Chairman Carl Levin teamed up to block the vote.

Democrats pay lip service to supporting our troops. They believe in making peace with our deadly enemies. The U.S. military greatly weakened during the Clinton era. If Democrats control both houses and the presidency U.S. armed forces will once again be weakened. It is dangerous to be weak in the face of a hostile world where extremists are hell-bent to destroy America.
