Body Language Expert: Palin Won the Debate Hands Down

Rk

Find out why in a Momlogic exclusive interview.

sarah palin

Body language expert Dr. Lillian Glass analyzed last night's VP debate ... and says Sarah Palin was the clear winner.

Here's why, according to Dr. Glass:

• When Palin first got to the stage, she blew a kiss, which is typically unprofessional and certainly unpresidential. But at the same time, it's endearing and refreshing. It's something we haven't seen before.

• She looked right into the camera, really connecting with her audience. Biden kept looking away, and referring to the host, which was disconnecting.

Palin's folksy, and she knows it works ... so she's really playing it, milking it. It makes her likable to many people.

• The only time Palin faltered is when she was talking about Israel, a heavy issue. But she got right back on her feet.

• Palin's smile and winks are coquettish and charming. People respond to them because it's refreshing. We've seen the smug curmudgeonly faces for so long, it's a nice change.

Do you agree?

DNC steps in to silence lawsuit over Obama birth certificate

RK

About time!

The man suing Sen. Barack Obama and the Democratic National Committee for proof of Obama's American citizenship is outraged that his own party – rather than just providing the birth certificate he seeks – would step in to silence him by filing a motion to dismiss his lawsuit.

As WND reported, prominent Pennsylvania Democrat and attorney Philip J. Berg filed suit in U.S. District Court two months ago claiming Obama is not a natural-born U.S. citizen and therefore not eligible to be elected president. Berg has since challenged Obama publicly that if the candidate will simply produce authorized proof of citizenship, he'll drop the suit.

Berg told WND the longer the DNC tries to ignore his lawsuit or make it go away – instead of just providing the documents – the more convinced he is that his accusations are correct.

Despite assertions by the Washington Post, FactChecker.org and other organizations that Obama has produced a certified Hawaiian birth certificate, Berg told WND he remains "99.99 percent sure" that the certificate is a fake and he wants a court, not a website, to determine its validity.

McCain plans fiercer strategy against Obama

McCain plans fiercer strategy against Obama 10/03/2008 ,WASHINGTON

Sen. John McCain and his Republican allies are readying a newly aggressive assault on Sen. Barack Obama's character, believing that to win in November they must shift the conversation back to questions about the Democrat's judgment, honesty and personal associations, several top Republicans said. With just a month to go until Election Day, McCain's team has decided that its emphasis on the senator's biography as a war hero, experienced lawmaker and straight-talking maverick is insufficient to close a growing gap with Obama

Why McCain Goes Easy on Fannie and the CRA

RK

The McCain campaign is underestimating how upset and disappointed conservatives are that free markets, and by extension Reaganomics and the last 25 years of American economic policy, are getting the blame for the housing and credit crisis. A real morale killer, every time we hear it.
I have some great ideas for someone to make ads for. If he won't say it, then let TV ads say it for him!

US News and World Report ^ | 10/3/2008 | James Pethokoukis

Here is the big question of the moment that many GOPers are asking: Why is John McCain not tearing into Barack Obama and the Dems on the huge role of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac and the Community Reinvestment Act in the financial crisis on Wall Street? In fact, the biggest criticism by conservatives of Sarah Palin's debate performance last night was that she had the opportunity to talk about Fannie/Freddie and the CRA but instead criticized the role of "predatory lenders."

Here is what Team McCain is telling me: Expect McCain to make the case on television, but don't look for him to turn to Obama in the next debate, point his finger, and say something like this (courtesy of the Ace of Spades HQ blog):

I stayed away from making these partisan attacks, even though you lied ridiculously about me and your own attempts at 'reform.' I held back, because partisan attacks—even truthful ones—would harm our country and reduce the chances of getting a vital bill passed. Well, the bill is now passed. I put country first. You didn't, and you lied on top of that. And now—only now that this crisis has been dealt with, to the extent we can—I'm going to give you a bit of straight-talk about Fannie, Freddie, my attempts to reform it, and your attempts to block reform on behalf of your big donors and friends in ACORN.

Nope, that is not going to happen Why not? 1) It is a complicated argument, and McCain is not good at making complicated arguments, not even about earmarks. (Note, additionally, his lack of defense of the war in Iraq during his debate with Obama. Amazing.)

2) There is a racial component to criticism of the Community Reinvestment Act that can make it sound like you are scapegoating minorities for Wall Street's problems.

3) The campaign believes McCain's time is better spent talking about taxes and energy and healthcare.

Intrade Analysis: Palin wins Debate, Even in the Face of Blatant Manipulation Attempt

RK

Oct. 3, 2008

A snapshot of Intrade prices for various contracts was taken before and after the debate. It showed a mixed bag at the time. However, the CEO of Intrade has posted that there was a blatant market manipulation attempt to boost Obama's price. As a result of adjustments, what was a murky vision is now clear: Palin won big.

This debate was unique at Intrade because there was a contract to trade based upon Intrade prices resulting after the debate. It was based upon my suggestion sent in to Intrade.

Bides's lie on lack of regulation by McCain

RK

Know why McCain got so little campaign contribution from Fannie Mae?

Biden's accusation that John McCain is soft on regulation, when in fact he tried to beef up regulations on Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac—an explanation for why he got so little campaign money from Fannie and Freddie over the years—under $22,000—as opposed to the more than $126,000 Obama received in his short time in the Senate.

$700 billion bailout? You ain't seen nothing yet

RK

I have pointed out that $700 Billion is a starter, it's descent into a boyttomless pit! It is now MORe clear to the public, this is indeed the first of MORE Bailouts to come
We have set a precedent, why not MORE bailouts?

Heritage Foundation said this,"Think $700 billion to bail out Wall Street is expensive? Just wait. The mortgage meltdown is cheap compared with the coming fiscal firestorm fanned by unfunded Social Security and Medicare costs.Together, these programs hold unfunded obligations totaling $41 trillion - 60 times larger than the proposed Wall Street bailout. And even this understates the difference, because $41 trillion is the current net value of the unfunded obligations over 75 years."

Vatican official attacks U.S. Democrats as “party of death”

RK

This is not good news for the Democratic ticket, being chided by such a huigh Church authority!

Vatican officials seldom single out political leaders who differ with the Church on issues like abortion rights or embryonic stem cell research. But now that the Vatican’s highest court is led by an American, the former St. Louis Archbishop Raymond Burke, we can expect things to get more explicit in Vatican City — at least when when it comes to U.S. politics.

Burke, who was named prefect of the Vatican’s Supreme Court of the Apostolic Signature in June, told the Italian Catholic newspaper Avvenire that the U.S. Democratic Party risked “transforming itself definitively into a party of death for its decisions on bioethical issues.” He then attacked two of the party’s most high profile Catholics — vice presidential candidate Joe Biden and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi — for misrepresenting Church teaching on abortion.

He said Biden and Pelosi, “while presenting themselves as good Catholics, have presented Church doctrine on abortion in a false and tendentious way.”

The Chickens Have Come Home to Roost: Obama, ACORN, and the Catholic Campaign for Human Development

RK

9/28/2008 1:38:00 PM
By Stephanie Block
Catholiccitizens.org

For nearly forty years, The Wanderer has followed the Catholic Campaign for Human Development's funding of radical, left-wing political organizations, many of them carrying the brand of Saul Alinsky. The Wanderer also covered the first Call to Action conference - the months of "hearings" leading up to it, its orchestrated structure and contrived demands - and our reporters commented on the Alinskyian nature of it, not merely in its tactics but in its outcomes. In hindsight, we can see that organized dissent in the Church was a product of organized parishes, filled with Alinskyian-trained laity.

The Catholic Campaign for Human Development is responsible for that.

It is also responsible, in some part, for the fact that forty years later, we have a virulently pro-abortion, pro-homosexual presidential candidate whose principle political training has been in Alinskyian organizing. While he - Barak Obama - was lead organizer in Chicago for the Developing Communities Project, it received a $40,000 Catholic Campaign for Human Development grant in 1985 and a $33,000 grant in 1986.

While he was in Chicago Obama was trained by the top Alinskyian organizers. One mentor was the ex-Jesuit, Greg Galuzzo, lead organizer for Gamaliel. The Developing Communities Project operated under the Gamaliel Foundation, a network of Alinskyian organizations that receive 4-5% of all Catholic Campaign for Human Development grants each year.

The Developing Communities Project, which hired Obama as lead organizer, was an offshoot of Jerry Kellman's Calumet Community Religious Conference. Kellman, another of Obama's mentors, was himself trained by Alinsky. The network of community organizations Alinsky founded, the Industrial Areas Foundation, receives about 16% of all Catholic Campaign for Human Development grants annually.

After Obama went to Harvard Law School, he returned to Chicago and taught Alinskyian organizing to ACORN staff. Although ACORN has a different structure than other Alinskyian networks, its tactical philosophy and world view are formed by men who were trained by Alinsky, in a sort of diabolical apostolic succession. Obama ran ACORN's 1992 voter-registration drive, Project Vote, and in turn received ACORN's endorsement for Illinois senator. ACORN annually receives about 5% of Catholic Campaign for Human Development grants.

This translates into millions of dollars of Catholic money over the last four decades going into Alinskyian community organizing. Catholics generously gave their money to the Catholic Campaign for Human Development collection because they were told it would "help the poor."

Relatively little from the Catholic Campaign for Human Development collection goes to "help the poor." Alinskyian networks are political. They work closely with politicians - such as Obama - and other organizations that are fighting for abortion and homosexual "rights." ACORN's "People's Platform" has nothing in common with Catholic social justice teaching and everything in common with socialism. Gamaliel and the Industrial Areas Foundation teach liberationism, a form of "Christianized" socialism, among their members.

Obama said one thing to O'Reilyy & another thing later

RK

When Bill O'Reilly interviewed Sen. Obama, Obama said that he wanted to return the top tax rate to the CLINTON years, which was 39.5%. xNow, Joe Biden and Obama say that Obama wants to return the top tax rate to the REAGAN years, which was 28%. He says one thing to one group, another thing to another group. He initially said that he wanted to give a tax cut to 95% of Americans, and increase federal income taxes for those making over $250,000 a year. But when this was exposed as being a lie - since over 40% of Americans pays no federal income tax - then Obama shifted his rhetoric to saying that he would give a tax cut to 95% of Americans WHO PAY FEDERAL INCOME TAXES....

Bailout is now $850 Billion, and Monday it was just $700 Billion

RK

Yeah, the bailout bill is almost as thick as a phone book, full of pork barrel wasteful spending! It's your tax $$, folks!

The media been touting ALL the negative news, and making this into a BIGGEr crises than it is, not minimizing it.
After the election, if God forbid, Obama wins, count on it, you will hear all the positive NEWS. Things are better already & will MUCH better!

Go watch a great Pro-America Comedy 'An American Carol' today!

RK

I seldom go to movies, but I want to support a rare move , by conservative actors who came out of closet, putting their neck on the line! Least we could do is help make this a record at box!
This movie has great conservative reviews!
It will mock Michael Moore, an idiotic leftist!
With Religulous, a comic documentary in which Bill Maher, makes fun of relilgious people and soon Oliver Stone's liberal film "W" mocking Bush, we need to show support for one of our own!

Then there's An American Carol, which its maker, Airplane! and Naked Gun alum David Zucker, describes as "the opposite of the Bill Maher movie."

Mr. Zucker's proudly conservative comedy isn't primarily about religion. It reworks the Charles Dickens Christmas Carol scenario so that a leftist filmmaker based on Michael Moore, painted here as an unpatriotic, America-hating boob out to banish the Fourth of July, is visited, schooled and slapped around by ghosts of Americans past, George Washington (Jon Voight) and Gen. George Patton (Kelsey Grammer), plus a ghost of the future, played by country star Trace Adkins.

According to Mr. Zucker, the film is more about supporting America's war in Iraq and taking down liberal filmmakers than getting people into churches and synagogues.

Huge early ratings for Palin-Biden debate

Thursday's highly anticipated face-off between Alaska governor Sarah Palin and Delaware senator Joe Biden may be the most-watched debate in 16 years.

Last night's event totaled a 45.0 overnight meter-market household rating, according to Nielsen Media Research.

That's 42% higher than Friday's presidential debate between top-of-the-ticket contenders John McCain and Barack Obama, which scored a collective 31.6 rating among broadcast and cable networks.

It's also a stunning 60% higher than the 2004 debate between Dick Cheney and John Edwards. In fact, the early figure surpasses any presidential debate since 1992's second bout between Bill Clinton, Ross Perot and George Bush (which received a 46.3 rating).

Many Republicans are declaring Sarah Palin to be the next Ronald Reagan and ashe does have the communication skills of a Reagan! But she is more like the next Harry Truman. The press and Washington insiders had complete disdain for Truman. He was a nobody from the middle of nowhere. He hadn't been educated in the right schools. His experience before going to Washington consisted of running a hat making business, and holding the political position of "judge" (with duties that were actually closer to those of a county commisioner.)

Joe Biden dead wrong on Hezbullah and Lebanon]

RK

In Thursday night’s VPl debate , Biden said the most ill-informed thing about Lebanon . Nobody has ever kicked Hezbollah out of Lebanon. Nobody!

He does not have fogiest idea what he was talking about

It’s too bad debate moderator Gwen Ifill didn’t catch him and ask a follow up question: When did the United States and France kick Hezbollah out of Lebanon? . . .

And Biden is supposedly THE Mr. Foreign Policy? He’s supposed to be the experienced elder statesman Senator Barack Obama chose to help him govern and fill in some of his knowledge and experience gaps. He’s supposed to know far more about foreign policy than she does.
Gee! Amazing!

McCain’s Chances Hinge on Three States

RK

Now that John McCain has abandoned efforts to win in Michigan, his campaign believes he must win Pennsylvania, Wisconsin or Minnesota to garner enough electoral votes to triumph over Barack Obama.

George Bush lost all three states in 2000 and 2004.

“Our ability to pick off one of those three states is where our fortunes are largely held,” a McCain campaign official told Politico. “These are states where Barack Obama is on the defense.”

McCain believes that winning one of those states, plus those he considers solidly in his camp, would put him 10 electoral votes short of the 270 votes he needs to win.

“We can dig up an additional 10 electoral votes in Nevada, Colorado and New Hampshire,” the official said.

“We feel strongly that we’re going to win in Florida, Missouri and the traditional Republican states of Virginia and North Carolina.”

Correcting the Errors in the Debate

RK

BIDEN: Said McCain supports tax breaks for oil companies, and "wants to give them another $4 billion tax cut."

THE FACTS: Biden is repeating a favorite saw of the Obama campaign, and it's misleading. McCain supports a cut in income taxes for all corporations, and doesn't single out any one industry for that benefit.

___

BIDEN: Complained about "economic policies of the last eight years" that led to "excessive deregulation."

THE FACTS: Biden voted for 1999 deregulation that liberal groups are blaming for part of the financial crisis today. The law allowed Wall Street investment banks to create the kind of mortgage-related securities at the core of the problem now. The law was widely backed by Republicans as well as by Democratic President Clinton, who argues it has stopped the crisis today from being worse.

PALIN: Said Alaska is "building a nearly $40 billion natural gas pipeline, which is North America's largest and most expensive infrastructure project ever to flow those sources of energy into hungry markets."

THE FACTS: Not quite. Construction is at least six years away. So far the state has only awarded a license to Trans Canada Corp., that comes with $500 million in seed money in exchange for commitments toward a lengthy and costly process to getting a federal certificate. At an August news conference after the state Legislature approved the license, Palin said, "It's not a done deal."

Tyler Perry's Alleged Role As Union Buster Is Becoming Big Obama Embarrassment

tyler-perry-100.JPG

One of Barack Obama's staunchest supporters and prized campaigners and film biographers from the motion picture and television business has just been accused of union busting, according to a complaint filed Thursday with the National Labor Relations Board. Before the exposé, writer/actor/director/producer Tyler Perry invited the presidential candidate to the grand opening of his entertainment studio on the outskirts of Atlanta, Georgia, this coming Saturday night. But if Obama attends he will be met by picket lines thrown up by the Writers Guild of America with support from other unions including the Teamsters, even though the latter union has officially endorsed the Democrat. "This is just the first step. We've got a lot more planned," a WGA insider told me last night, indicating that the Perry picketing may widen to Time Warner's TBS and Warner Bros which broadcasts his hugely popular House Of Payne sitcom, and an upcoming TV spinoff of one of Perry's movie's Meet The Browns.

"Constitutional Law Scholar" Biden's Article I Gaffe

RK

"Vice President Cheney has probably been the most dangerous Vice President we've had in American history. He has the idea...he doesn't realize that Article I of the Constitution defines the role of the Vice President of the United States. That's the executive. He works in the executive branch. He should understand that. Everyone should understand that.

And the primary role of the Vice President of the United States of America is to support the President of the United States of America. Give that President his or her best judgment when sought and as the Vice President to preside over the senate only in a time when in fact there is a tie vote. The constitution is explicit, the only authority the Vice President has from a legislative standpoint is to vote only when there is a tie vote. He has no authority relative to the Congress. The idea that he's a part of the legislative branch is a bizarre notion invented by Cheney to aggrandize the power of the unitary executive..and look where it's gotten us.

Biden is just plain wrong about this. First of all, Article I defines the legislative branch, including its composition and the scope of its powers and the powers and privileges of its members. Article I, sec. 3, clause 4 is the first time the Vice President is mentioned in the Constitution. It gives the Vice President an important role to play:
The Vice President of the United States shall be President of the Senate, but shall have no Vote, unless they be equally divided.
The Constitution goes on to direct the Senate to chose a President pro tempore to preside over the Senate in the VP's absence. Though it is not explicitly stated, the VP is also the President of the Senate during all trials of impeachments other than trials of the President. In other words, when Biden says that the VP has "no authority relative to the Congress" the truth is actually that the VP has a special authority, reserved to no other unless the VP chooses to let another wield it.

Article II does not extend to the VP any executive powers. Sections 2 and 3 specifically grant duties and powers to the President; the VP goes unmentioned. In fact, Article II provides for compensation for the President, but doesn't direct the VP to receive anything!

So Joe Biden is talking out his ass when he says "Article I of the Constitution defines the role of the Vice President of the United States. That's the executive. He works in the executive branch." Article I doesn't define the VP's executive roles. In fact, neither does Article II, because the VP has no role to play within the executive branch except to take over in case of death or incapacitation of the President.

Now, this wouldn't ordinarily be all that big of a deal, but Joe Biden is supposed to be Mr. Big Constitutional Lawyer who is going to cure all the excesses of Darth Cheney. But it doesn't seem like he's got much of a grasp of the Constitution at all. Nowhere in the Constitution does it give the Vice President the "primary role ... to support the President of the United States of America." Under the Constitution, the VP only has two things to do: break ties in the Senate and wait for the President to die.

The relationship between the Vice President and the President has varied from administration to administration and it has no basis in the Constitution. It's good modern policy, but remember that in the original scheme of things the President and the VP were usually competitors. The President is well within his rights to kick the VP out in the cold.

Biden Tells 14 Lies During VP Debate

RK

Joe Biden's 14 Lies

1. TAX VOTE: Biden said McCain voted “the exact same way” as Obama to increase taxes on Americans earning just $42,000, but McCain DID NOT VOTE THAT WAY.

2. AHMEDINIJAD MEETING: Joe Biden lied when he said that Barack Obama never said that he would sit down unconditionally with Mahmoud Ahmedinijad of Iran. Barack Obama did say specifically, and Joe Biden attacked him for it.

3. OFFSHORE OIL DRILLING: Biden said, “Drill we must.” But Biden has opposed offshore drilling and even compared offshore drilling to “raping” the Outer Continental Shelf.”

4. TROOP FUNDING: Joe Biden lied when he indicated that John McCain and Barack Obama voted the same way against funding the troops in the field. John McCain opposed a bill that included a timeline, that the President of the United States had already said he would veto regardless of it’s passage.

5. OPPOSING CLEAN COAL: Biden says he’s always been for clean coal, but he just told a voter that he is against clean coal and any new coal plants in America and has a record of voting against clean coal and coal in the U.S. Senate.

6. ALERNATIVE ENERGY VOTES: According to FactCheck.org, Biden is exaggerating and overstating John McCain’s record voting for alternative energy when he says he voted against it 23 times.

7. HEALTH INSURANCE: Biden falsely said McCain will raise taxes on people's health insurance coverage -- they get a tax credit to offset any tax hike. Independent fact checkers have confirmed this attack is false

8. OIL TAXES: Biden falsely said Palin supported a windfall profits tax in Alaska -- she reformed the state tax and revenue system, it's not a windfall profits tax.

9. AFGHANISTAN / GEN. MCKIERNAN COMMENTS: Biden said that top military commander in Iraq said the principles of the surge could not be applied to Afghanistan, but the commander of NATO's International Security Assistance Force Gen. David D. McKiernan said that there were principles of the surge strategy, including working with tribes, that could be applied in Afghanistan.

10. REGULATION: Biden falsely said McCain weakened regulation -- he actually called for more regulation on Fannie and Freddie.

11. IRAQ: When Joe Biden lied when he said that John McCain was “dead wrong on Iraq”, because Joe Biden shared the same vote to authorize the war and differed on the surge strategy where they John McCain has been proven right.

12. TAX INCREASES: Biden said Americans earning less than $250,000 wouldn’t see higher taxes, but the Obama-Biden tax plan would raise taxes on individuals making $200,000 or more.

13. BAILOUT: Biden said the economic rescue legislation matches the four principles that Obama laid out, but in reality it doesn’t meet two of the four principles that Obama outlined on Sept. 19, which were that it include an emergency economic stimulus package, and that it be part of “part of a globally coordinated effort with our partners in the G-20.”

14. REAGAN TAX RATES: Biden is wrong in saying that under Obama, Americans won't pay any more in taxes then they did under Reagan.

Sen. Biden wrong on VP role

RK

We need to send Biden back to school to restudy American government & the constitution. He is seeking VP position & not even understand it?

Democratic vice presidential nominee Sen. Joseph R. Biden Jr. appeared to incorrectly outline the constitutional role of the job he's seeking in Thursday's debate.

In attacking Vice President Dick Cheney, Mr. Biden said the vice president's only role is to support the president and to preside over the Senate "only in a time when in fact there's a tie vote. The Constitution is explicit."

The Constitution, though, actually says the vice president is always president of the Senate and legal scholars say he has the right to preside at any time. Early vice presidents, such as Thomas Jefferson, actively exercised that role, the vice president still keeps offices at the Capitol, and scholars say it wasn't until the middle of the 20th century that the vice president had an office at the executive office building.

The president pro tempore, usually the senior senator from the majority party, takes over only when the vice president is absent. In recent practice, as the vice president has taken a bigger role in the executive, that's meant the Senate operates almost all of the time without the vice president in the chair.

Prospect of Obama victory raises fears of Islamic persecution in Kenya

RK

I assure you, if Obama wins, the Islamic influence here & abroad will be emboldened. We shall be in GREATER danger of terrorists attacks! Don't count on Obama to take quick action to punish terrorists. He would prefer to negotiate & chat across a table! Yeah, let'as negotiate with Hitler back then, watch who will get conned. The following excerpts from worldnetdaily

Democrat backed leader allied with Muslims promoting Islamic law

NAIROBI, Kenya – Sen. Barack Obama is positioned to easily win the presidential election, former U.S. Rep. Walter Fauntroy told participants in Kenya's National Prayer Breakfast at the Safari Park Hotel in Nairobi in June.

Fauntroy – an African-American noted as the first congressman to represent the District of Columbia in 100 years and a founding member of the Congressional Black Caucus – said an Obama victory would make Kenya the most important nation in the world, as the place where the first U.S. black president "is to come from," elected "to teach the world how to live in the 21st century."

Not all present necessarily felt as enthusiastic at the prospect of an Obama presidency.

The prayer breakfast was attended by Kenya's President Mwai Kibaki, Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka, both of the Kikuyu tribe, and newly-appointed Prime Minister Raila Odinga, a Luo tribesman. Obama supported Odinga's challenge to Kibaki for the presidency when the Illinois Democrat visited Kenya on a U.S. Senate "fact-finding" mission in 2006.

Many Kikuyu politicians quietly express concerns that an Obama win in the 2008 U.S. presidential election could reverse power in Kenya, in favor of Luo tribesman such as Odinga, a perennial presidential challenger of Kikuyu presidential candidates.

WND has also reported Odinga signed a memorandum of understanding with Muslims in Kenya prior to the December 2007 election in an effort to win Muslim support of his candidacy.

In the post-election violence, an estimated 800 Christian churches were damaged by mobs, while not a single mosque was harmed.

About 85 percent of all Kenyans are considered Christian, with fewer than 10 percent Muslim.

Some Thoughts About the Debate

By: SW

Just finished watching the VP debate from my hotel room in Maine. Want to put in a few thoughts before going to bed (it is after 11 pm here).

I kept wishing Palin would attack more, like bringing up the Democrats' being in the pocket of Fannie and Freddie, Obama being the second on the money-take list, etc. But afterwards I think it is good that Palin did not do that. She did her part of attacks, and stay on the high road by leaving these more controversial issues to the pundits and bloggers. She projects an image of being fresh, untainted by the good old Washington DC way, and the message of hope (and we a lot of this these days, given what is happening to the financial markets). It is in direct contrast to Biden's non-stop attacks on Bush and McCain, the looking backward (which she ridiculed). At a time when the main street is tired of silver-tongued politicians, Palin's cheerful disposition, optimism and down-to-earth manner will win people's heart.

Overall I think she did well. She may absolutely no gaffe, and went punch-to-punch with Biden who was in politics when she was in second grade. My wife and I cheered when she came out clearly against same sex marriage.

I think (and hope) that once again Palin energizes the Republicans and wins over independents so the race will stay close to the end.

Gov. Palin has a clear edge over Sen. Biden in debate- my analysis

RK

PALIN KICKED ASS TONIGHT a number of times! The pit bull with lipstick is back, and she can still bite! Biden obviously was afraid to attack Palin so he went after mcCain ALL night long. He did the right thing.
As I said before, she will win if McCain's handler will unleash her & let Palin be her natural Palin! She never came across as phony, unlike Barak. She connected with the American people, and folks felt her energy was refreshing. No gaffes from Biden also!

AOL poll tonight:
Sarah Palin
47%
46,053
Joe Biden
45%
44,434
It was a draw
8%
7,783

I watched it from start to finish & took notes. I thought both did better than I thought. I think she did pretty against a long time Washington inside, who is used to debates & speaking. Several liberal anchors agree it was pretty much a tie. On some areas, she cleaned his clock! She certainly did a much better job than McCain! She did allow several things go on unanswered. or maybe tough to cover McCain's weaknesses. Much better as it went on. Her closing remarks was much better than Biden, no question!

Gov. Palin come across as genuine, personal, upbeat, confident, I love her smile!
Biden come across as experienced, mature but a bit dry. Very pleased with Palin's performance. However, She had the chance right off the bat, and like McCain, she did not go far enough on an offense, to tie the opponents to causing this mess, in blocking reform. Not a word about Obama's ACORN, no word that they are VERY liberal record. I believe thee are idiotic advisers/handlers who advised her against it. I think maybe McCain is hesitating because he is under the impression that we really need this bailout bill.

To her credit, Ifill was pretty fair overall, fairer than I expected, probably because the cry out there, calling,"foul!"
.
There was a missed opportunity tonight that McCain can still rectify. When Obama or Biden mention corporate taxes the response needs to be that since neither Obama or Biden have ever had a private sector job they probably don’t realize that government regulation represent a cost to business too. And this is included into the cost of products and services and passed along to the customers.

Palin lays out the THEME for the McCain-Palin Campaign-Reform!

I believe after hearing her, most Americans will sleep better if McCain should die!
No one made major mistakes
She effectively cast herself as the fresh face in the race for the White House - and Biden as the Beltway insider.

Biden's errors
Biden: "Iran getting a nuclear weapon would be very, very destabilizing. They are more than - they are not close to getting a nuclear weapon that's able to be deployed."
Oh really? EU warns Iran close to nuclear arms capacity To date, Iran has produced nearly 1,000 pounds of low-enriched uranium.

He talked about the neighborhood he grew up in -- now he's claiming it was Claymont, Delaware. He never lived in Claymont. His prep school (Archmere) was in Claymont. Scrappy Joe from Scranton -- he's tried to connect himself to small town America and he has to lie to accomplish this. Biden knows they lose HUGE in small towns across the US.

Biden reminded viewers that McCain had called the fundamentals of the economy strong as recently as last month,. The difference is McCain did not rebut this point but Sarah rebutted it naturally!

Great lines:

"I think we need to band together and say never again," Palin said.

96% of Obama's vote is partisan (or something like that)

McCain does not tell one group one thing, and another group another thing

"We have not promised American people things we cannot keep"

"You (Biden) once said,"Obama is not ready to lead" untill you became running mate"

"There you look backward again"

Near the end Biden went on an effective offense, saying,"mcCain is NO Maverick, he voted....." naming McCain's vote on a range of issues. No time Palin could respond.

OBAMA is USING TERRORIST'S LAWYER to Defend LAWSUIT

RK

Here come another of those "Guilt by Associations" that Senator Barack Obama will try to weasel himself out of. As you may know, Philip Berg is suing Senator Obama in Civil Court. Berg wants Obama to Produce his real birth certificate to prove that he meets the citizenship requirements to be President. Rather than just product the birth certificate (is he trying to hide something?) Obama's legal team filed a motion to dismiss. One of the Lawyers filing the motion was Joe Sandler (sandler@sandlerreiff.com) of the Washington law firm Sandler, Reiff, and Young (see the document below).

If Mr. Sandler's name sounds familiar it Should. He is the Legal Hit Man for the Council of American-Islamic Relations (CAIR). CAIR is an organization with terrorist ties, and has been as an un-indicted co-conspirator in the Holyland Foundation Hamas Funding trial.

Sandler's role for CAIR has been to stifle people from telling the truth about Islam. For example, last year he tried to get Jihad Expert Robert Spencer banned from speaking to the Young American Foundation, by using a threatening letter. Sandler followed up by threatening columnist Mike Adams for writing about the Spencer incident.

Look, everyone deserves legal representation that is not the Issue. The real issue is why is a candidate for President of the United States, a guy who wants to take over the role of Commander-in-Chief in the war on terror, using the Lawyer for CAIR a group with terrorist connections, to represent him in a law suit? Once again the Junior Senator from Illinois leave us with questions and no answers.

Purple States May Sway Election

RK

October 2, 2008

Forget about red and blue voters, those hyper-partisan Democrats and Republicans who dominated the past decade and turned American politics into a blood sport. Think about the purple people who are starting to elbow the reds and blues aside.

The purple label designates the independent, middle-of-the-road voters who have made a comeback and now occupy the main battleground of 2008.

It reveals three big clusters of respondents:

REDS — A largely conservative group of Republicans, who made up 41 percent of the national sample.

BLUES — Mostly Democrats who could be labeled liberal, who totaled 34 percent.

PURPLES — Totaling a full 24 percent of those surveyed, they did not align with the political beliefs and values of reds or blues. The same respondents were asked about everything from their preferred leisure-time activities and their favorite radio and TV shows, Web sites, movies, games, and sports.

Video: Comparing Fannie/Freddie to Enron/Worldcom/Tyco

RK

This will INFURIATE you, the taxpayers! So well-done, logical, GRIPPING!

A new YouTube group, Taxpayers for Truth, has a good question to ask today. The Bush administration frog-marched executives from Enron, Tyco, and Worldcom into federal prison for their financial shenanigans, in collapses that look positively microscopic in the wake of the failure of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. Why hasn’t anyone in the recent failure received the same treatment?

Here is the roster presented by the video, in brief:

  • Bernard Ebbers, Worldcom: 25 years in prison
  • Ken Lay, Enron: Convicted on 10 counts, died before serving sentence
  • Jeff Skilling, Enron: 24 years in prison
  • Andrew Fastow, Enron: 10 years in prison
  • Dennis Koslowski, Tyco: 8 years in prison
  • Mark Schwartz, Tyco: 8 years in prison

So how about the officers of Fannie Mae, who conducted similar kinds of fraud in their financial statements in order to pad bonuses and keep regulators from discovering their precarious position until it was too late? Franklin Raines never faced criminal charges, and instead settled a civil suit with a $2 million payoff — which came from Fannie Mae’s insurance company. Jim Johnson didn’t even have to do that much.

And where are they now? The Washington Post reported twice that Raines was advising the Barack Obama campaign, although they denied it. Jim Johnson still advises the Obama campaign and had briefly led the search for a running mate. Supposedly the FBI has begun a criminal probe into the actions of Fannie Mae management over the years, but we’ll see if that proceeds. The final quote at the end says it all.

Gov. Palin should during debate point out moderator's conflict of interest

RK

That's what I would do , right at the get go!
Mention "I have been cautioned not to even come as the moderator has written a book on Obama and it would sell much better if Obama-Biden win. But nevertheles, I trust the American people to judge whether the questions will be equally tough & I will do my best.

Penny Pritzker.,Obama's national chairperson, deep in Sub Prime Mess!

RK

Anonther Obama advisor waist deep in the Sub Prime mess and she is still Obama advisor!!
Letter can be found online
October 02, 2008

We are all now focused on Obama's financial industry bedfellows, who are running his campaign. Here is a story that the main street media (aka Obama protective press) will not cover. His national chairperson, senior advisor on economic issues, and close personal friend rumored for a cabinet post or senior advisor in an Obama White House is Penny Pritzker.

Barak Obama’s personal friend and economic advisor Penny Pritzker runs Transunion Corp the largest of three credit reporting bureaus in America. In theory she has at her disposal the credit files of every citizen in the America, and given the corruption on Wall Street today can America afford to have Pritzker sitting at an Obama’s economic table.

• Penny Pritzker through her development of Superior Bank utilizing accounting firm of Ernst & Young and close personal business relationship with Merrill Lynch developed and pioneered the securitization of sub-prime/predatory loans. Using Pritzker reputation convinced rating agencies to give junk bond collateral investment grade status. There by making bonds available to nationwide tax payers backed pension funds (Fireman, Policemen & Teachers) Along with international pension funds which has now accumulated into the greatest credit crunch loss of personal individual wealth of every citizen in America. An economic tsunami that will affect the citizens of all 50 states.

• Pritzker running of Superior Bank in 2000 the National Community Reinvestment Coalition stated to the director of Thrift Supervision, Superior was the number one preditory lender in the land. Targeting the African American community more than two times to other preditory lenders.

• Pritzker assured that excess deposits over the FDIC insured ($100,000) were safe because the Pritzkers would not let Superior fail. Fran Sweet (a depositor in Superior Bank who deposited more than $450,000) was given the Pritzker commitment that her money was safe.

• Penny negotiated with the FDIC that her family would participate in a recovery of damages settled with Ernst & Young with the FDIC. The Pritzkers share was a money transfer of $31.5 million dollars while the 1400 uninsured depositors still are owed approximately $16 million dollars Fran Sweet and the estate of deceased depositors will never see all of the money, while Penny and her family got their dividend from the FDIC ahead of uninsured depositors.

4 Weathermen terrorists declare support for Obama

RK

October 02, 2008

The names of four former top leaders of the Weathermen terrorist organization are listed as signatories on an online petition calling for an "independent grassroots effort" to help strengthen Sen. Barack Obama's campaign.

The petition was initiated by Progressives for Obama, an independent organization acting to ensure the Illinois senator's election.

Progressives includes among its ranks many former members of the 1960s radical organization Students for a Democratic Society, or SDS, from which the Weathermen splintered, as well as current and former members of other radical organizations, such as the Communist Party USA and the Black Radical Congress.

"We agree that Barack Obama is our best option for president in 2008, and that an independent grassroots effort can help strengthen his campaign," states the online petition. "It can also strengthen the mandate for his programs for stopping war, promoting global justice and securing our rights, liberties, and economic well-being."

Among the names signed onto the petition are former Weathermen leaders Howard Machtinger, Jeff Jones, Steve Tappis and Mark Rudd.

Machtinger was a Weathermen founder and was co-author of the terror group's original mission statement, which called for "revolutionaries within the United States to wage a 'people's war' and attack from within. The government would fall and 'world communism' eventually would be instituted."

Jones, according to his own website, was "elected, along with (Weathermen terrorist) Bill Ayers and Mark Rudd, to the SDS national office

BILL and Hillary Clinton are doing their bare minimum to help elect Barack Obama president because the Democratic nominee refused to guarantee Hillary a US Supreme Court judgeship should he win the White House, sources say. A rep for Sen. Clinton e-mailed Page Six yesterday: "Absurd. Nonsense. Rubbish. Hogwash. Malarkey." But the word in Democratic circles is that Hillary - after being rejected by Obama as his running mate, the position given to Sen. Joe Biden - made it clear to Obama's camp that she wanted to be appointed to the Supreme Court

CEO: Fannie/Freddie Bailout Makes America 'More Communist than China'

Business and Media Institute ^ | 9/8/2008 | Jeff Poor

America created its own variety of communism with the U.S. Treasury Department’s bailout of two beleaguered government-sponsored enterprises (GSEs), Fannie Mae (NYSE:FNM) and Freddie Mac (NYSE:FRE)? According to Rogers Holding CEO Jim Rogers, the answer is yes.

“America is more communist than China is right now,” Rogers told CNBC Europe’s “Squawk Box Europe” September 8. “You can at least have a free market in housing and a lot of other things in China. And you can see that this is welfare for the rich. This is socialism for the rich. It’s bailing out the financiers, the banks, the Wall Streeters."

Rogers, known for launching the Quantum Fund with left-wing heavyweight George Soros, said the bailout was not benefiting homeowners or helping average citizens improve their standing for a home mortgage.

“It’s not bailing out the homeowners who are in trouble, by the way,” Rogers said. “It’s not bailing out people who want a mortgage – it’s just bailing out financial institutions. This is not my idea of the way things are supposed to be, but if that’s what America wants, you know, it can elect people who are going to do it. I think it’s a mistake.”

TRAINING A SOCIALIST ARMY OF WORLD SERVERS

RK

Berit Kjos is a prolific Christian writer, exposing the New age movement, etc
This is quite a scary scenario & picture of Obama's America! Frankly, I believe it is true & those are his goals & dreams!

September 28, 2008

Obama: “I will ask for your service and your active citizenship when I am president of the United States ... this will be a central cause of my presidency."[1]

Obama: "People of all ages, stations, and skills will be asked to serve.... I will set a goal for all American middle and high school students to perform 50 hours of service a year, and for all college students to perform 100 hours of service a year...."[2]

Saul Alinsky (Obama's Marxist mentor): "The disruption of the present organization is the first step toward community organization.... All change means disorganization of the old and organization of the new."[3] Rules for Radicals (excerpts here)

Brave New World: "A really efficient totalitarian state would be one in which the all-powerful executive of political bosses and their army of managers control a population of slaves who do not have to be coerced because they love their servitude. To make them love it is the task assigned... to ministries of propaganda, newspaper editors and schoolteachers."[4] Aldous Huxley

Obama learned all about it during his years as "Community Organizer" in Chicago.

THE TRANSFORMING POWER OF "SERVICE LEARNING"

"Service learning" isn't a new phenomenon. It has been well tested by U.S. educators for more than a decade. What's new is the scale of Obama's plan. His massive system would press students and citizens of all ages in a revolutionary government-led program to change the way we think and relate to each other. A more descriptive term would be mass brainwashing! He outlines it on his official website:

"Expand Service-Learning in Our Nation's Schools: Obama will set a goal that all middle and high school students do 50 hours of community service a year. He will develop national guidelines for service-learning and will give schools better tools both to develop programs and to document student experience."[7]

In 1992 Obama helped start another revolutionary organization, Public Allies. He resigned the next year, before Michelle Obama became the executive director of its Chicago chapter. Apparently, Obama plans to use it as the model for a national service corps -- a "Universal Voluntary Public Service."[17] As Investor's Business Daily explains,

"The pitch Public Allies makes on its Web site doesn't seem all that radical. It promises to place young adults (18-30) in paid one-year 'community leadership' positions with nonprofit or government agencies. They'll also be required to attend weekly training workshops.... But its real mission is to radicalize American youth and use them to bring about 'social change' through threats, pressure, tension and confrontation — the tactics used by the father of community organizing, Saul 'The Red' Alinsky....

"The government now funds about half of Public Allies' expenses.... Obama wants to fully fund it and expand it into a national program that some see costing $500 billion."[17]

REALITY VERSUS DELUSION

You've seen that the socialist power structure thrives on conflict, compromise, manipulation and deceit. It spreads its illusions by hiding its totalitarian aims under the noble banner of community service.

Berg Confident Obama & DNC Motion To Dismiss Will Be Defeated

RK

9/30/08
Philip J. Berg, Esquire, the Attorney who filed suit against Barack H. Obama challenging Senator Obama’s lack of “qualifications” to serve as President of the United States, announced today that he filed his Opposition and Brief to Obama and Democratic National Committee [DNC] Joint Motion to Dismiss in the case of Berg v. Obama, No. 08-cv-04083.

Berg feels confident that he has “Standing” and the Court will allow the case to go forward.

"Our response was due in 14 days, but the Court requested our answer by Monday, September 29, 2008 and we complied.

"In our response we set forth sufficient reasons that I have “Standing” to bring this lawsuit. Furthermore, I set forth additional reasons that indicate Obama does not meet the qualifications for President of the United States and Obama should be removed from the ballot and held accountable.

"Our website obamacrimes.com has received 17.1 + million hits. We are urging all to spread the word of our website – and forward to your local newspapers and radio and TV stations."

Berg again stressed his position regarding the urgency of this case as, “we” the people, are heading to a “Constitutional Crisis” if this case is not resolved forthwith.

This is another eye-opening new video! The quotes, will astound you!

Obama is right in the middle of this massive scam
How long has Soros and Obama been “aquainted”? Soros almost ruined England with his money fraud...looks like he’s trying to do the same in America. I know he wants America to change, but he’s keeping that a secret.

Schwarzenegger: Communism still bad idea

RK

I am no fan of the Governator, but this shows he still has some horse sense left!

California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger has decided communism still is a bad idea, and opening up public schools and other public facilities to avowed party members who may seek to overthrow the U.S. government is not very smart either. "Many Californians have fled communist regimes, immigrated to the United States and sought freedom in our nation because of the human rights abuses perpetuated in other parts of the world," the governor said in a message accompanying a veto of a plan lawmakers had approved.

Barack supports allowing illegal aliens to enroll in community colleges

RK

North Carolina is studying whether to allow illegal aliens to enroll in community colleges, and over the weekend Barack Obama brought his pander express there and told Greensboro's WUNC this:

"For us to deny [illegal aliens] access to community college, even though they've never lived in Mexico, at least as far as they can tell ... is to deny that this is how we've always built this country up"... Obama said many children of Mexican immigrants have spent nearly their entire lives in the U.S., and "for all practical purposes, they are an American kid... I think we don't want them in the underground economy... We want them contributing, and it makes sense for us to provide them some pathway. If they've been here a certain period of time, and they've been good citizens, let's try to figure out how we can work them into the fabric of our society."

1. If I were inclined to give him the benefit of the doubt, I might say that "good citizens" doesn't necessarily imply that he thinks that citizens of Mexico are citizens of the U.S., it could just be a cutesy locution. However, based on his other statements, I'm not willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. I think he really is confused over the entire citizenship concept.

2. Needless to say, we haven't "built this country up" through illegal immigration and through allowing a corrupt neighboring country to send us 14% of their working age population.

3. The only solution to this problem that is good public policy is to encourage/"encourage" Mexico and other countries to take their citizens back and give them educations. Anything else will lead to more problems as more people bring their children here illegally and as educations are taken from U.S. citizens in order to give them to foreign citizens who are here illegally.

NBC flies To Hanoi To Interview McCain's Torturer For "Real" Story

RK

From Rush, this is amazing! NBC is willing to take the word of a communist, North Vietnamese torturer of POWs over the word of McCain, a true Patriot! Why didn't they investigate the claims of John Kerry by flying to Vietnam? Do you think secretly, this torturer want McCain to win? Of course not!

RUSH: Guess what NBC did last night, NBC Nightly News? They sent a reporter to Hanoi to find McCain's Hanoi Hilton torturer, to see if the torturer would confirm McCain's version of what happened. I am not kidding, ladies and gentlemen. I'm not kidding whatsoever. A new low has been reached. They also claim, by the way, that they've sent people to Chicago to find out about some of the things about Obama, but I'll be damned if I've seen it -- and they didn't uncover anything. We have two sound bites to illustrate this. A portion of the report from correspondent Ian Williams:

WILLIAMS: Lavan Lawa helped drag ashore a badly injured John McCain after his Skyhawk bomber was shot down and he parachuted into these shallow waters.

LAWA: (via translator) Everyone was excited because we got the pilot. Some people were shouting, "Beat him!"

WILLIAMS: But Nguyen Thi Thanh, now 81, took control. A nurse at a nearby clinic, she put splints on McCain's broken arms and leg and gave him antibiotics. In his memoir, McCain says she saved his life.

THANH: (via translator) Most people didn't say anything. But one old man with a stick said, "You're saving the enemy." I told him I was a nurse. I had to save lives.

RUSH: Then, shockingly, ladies and gentlemen -- shockingly! -- they tell us that the Hanoi Hilton "prison director" disputes McCain's recollection of torture. They portray a Hogan's Heroes-type situation. Here Ian Williams continuing his report.

WILLIAMS: McCain has given graphic accounts of beatings and torture in a prison system he's called "an extension of the battlefield." Tran Trong Duyet, the former prison director, remembers it differently.

DUYET: (via translator) During office hours, I would call him to my office and we would have fierce debates about the war. But after hours, we would talk as friends.

WILLIAMS: He says McCain helped teach him English, giving impromptu tests. What remains of the Hanoi Hilton has been turned into a museum, with plenty of space devoted to their most famous prisoner. But most Vietnamese have now moved on, as has John McCain. The possibility of a McCain presidency hasn't heightened curiosity about his story. In this overwhelmingly young country, the memory of the war is fading like the ancient facade of the Hilton.

RUSH: So he and McCain, they talk like friends that have fierce debates here about the war. Then they chatted up as friends, and then McCain helped teach him English, giving impromptu tests. Then why did the guy need a translator here for the NBC report? Why didn't he speak this English that McCain supposedly taught him? But just the premise of this: to go back and talk to communist prison guards to try to verify McCain's version of events! Let me ask this, folks. Did they go to Cambodia to interview any of the soldiers about John Kerry's claims? They didn't. They just defended Kerry and they attacked the swift boat guys. Did they go to Chicago to delve into Obama's ties to terrorists and real estate frauds? No. And did they go investigate his ties to the church? No! They still have not done that, and they won't. Did they follow up on any of Joe Biden's lamebrain claims during his long and not-illustrious career? No, they did not, they have not, and they will not. But they have to go back to Hanoi and check and see if McCain's version stands up to what the North Vietnamese torturer remembers. No mention of torture in this report, none whatsoever. Just this impression: "Hey, you know, we'd have fierce debates about the war and then we'd talk as friends at the end of the day." Yeah, "In fact, these injuries, he must have fallen down while he was here, because we here don't remember inflicting any torture going on him!" This was not said, was not even addressed in the report. BREAK TRANSCRIPT

He said that we should not bail them out for THEIR mistakes!
On this vote, that's better than McCain & Obama who are willing to support this bailout. sigh Ahya

I think Pelosi, Barney Frank & co. will, by hook or by crook, muster enough votes to ram it through &shove it down taxpayers' throat by this weekend!
Stock Market will be jubilant, shooting up, as a result.
Actually it will in the end help McCain more than Obama, because it will temporarily lift the DARK ominous cloud over our head.
It will but postpone judgment day!
More banks will continue to fail in the coming months!

Bombshell: Obama knee deep into campaign finance scandel!

RK

This is a bona fide bombshell. Obama loves to say that 90% (or whatever the phony made-up figure is) of his donors contributed less than $200? Sounds good, right? Real, honest to goodness grass-roots support there. The little people, the poor people, really want this guy to be their president. Well it turns out that 35 or 40 of those "people" turn out to be one person contributing nearly $9,000 to Obama; a clear violation of campaign finance laws restricting donations to a maximum of $4600 per election cycle. And the kicker? The guy is named Good Will. Mr. Will is from Texas.

And we are just getting warmed up.

From Newsmax.

In a letter dated June 25, 2008, the FEC asked the Obama campaign to verify a series of $25 donations from a contributor identified as “Will, Good” from Austin, Texas.

Mr. Good Will listed his employer as “Loving” and his profession as “You.”

A Newsmax analysis of the 1.4 million individual contributions in the latest master file for the Obama campaign discovered 1,000 separate entries for Mr. Good Will, most of them for $25.

In total, Mr. Good Will gave $17,375.

Following this and subsequent FEC requests, campaign records show that 330 contributions from Mr. Good Will were credited back to a credit card. But the most recent report, filed on Sept. 20, showed a net cumulative balance of $8,950 — still well over the $4,600 limit.

There can be no doubt that the Obama campaign noticed these contributions, since Obama’s Sept. 20 report specified that Good Will’s cumulative contributions since the beginning of the campaign were $9,375.

VP Debate Host Has Likened Conservatives to Terrorists, Truck Bombers

RK

I tell you PBS’s Gwen Ifill is No Moderate Moderator! She is an ultra liberal who dislike Christians!
PBS host Jim Lehrer asked tough questions to President Bush about his record, but failed to do the same for John Kerry. He asked Kerry to list Bush's “colossal misjudgments,” and then to list the President's lies. But he never once asked Kerry about his 20-year Senate record. Will PBS’s Gwen Ifill do better in the running-mate debate? The evidence suggests here comes liberal moderator number two:

Campaign “Reform” Opponents Like Terrorists. “It was a bill that was doomed to die. The last time you heard people so eager to claim responsiblity for something like this, they were terrorists.” — Ifill on opponents of a campaign “reform” bill, Washington Week, Feb. 27, 1998.

Ken Starr’s “Truck Bomb.” “There's very little they can do about this, when someone drives, as one House Judiciary Committee member put this some weeks ago, a truck bomb up to the steps of the Capitol and just dumps it on them....it is in some ways, politically, a very violent action for Ken Starr to leave this on them weeks before an election when they're trying to decide how to deal with it.” — Ifill during live MSNBC coverage of the Starr Report arriving on Capitol Hill, September 9, 1998.

Best Ad "Chose"- Obama chose Rezko, Ayers and, Rev. Wright

RK

Now finally, here's one that most supporters will CHEER! Better than most ads out there for McCain. If Obama's values caused him to choose these shady characters as close associates, who will he choose as the next 4 Supreme Court Justices?
If they run this in battleground States, it will tilt the election to McCain, if only they have the money, being outspent by huge margin!

Zogby: McCain Takes the Lead 46% to 44%!

RK
9-25-08

There is no need to panic, there are still weeks ahead and another momentum shift maybe coming , starting with Palin trouncing Bid Thursday at debate.

The very latest poll numbers from John Zogby put John McCain squarely ahead of Barack Obama at 46 percent to 44 percent, respectively.

McCain moved from three percentage points behind Obama to two points ahead of the democratic candidate in less than a week. One possible reason for the boost — McCain’s decision to forego politics as usual to focus on the current financial meltdown. The polling was partially conducted after McCain’s announcement that he would suspend his campaign.

Independent voters played a key role in the latest figures: McCain now leads with independents by nine points, 43 percent to 34 percent.

The survey was conducted on Sept. 23-25, 2008, with 4,752 likely voters and carries a margin of error of plus or minus 1.5 percentage points.

Gov. Palin was a good debator

RK

I expected her to be confident, doing better than recent 2 interviews, though she has less experience in debating than Biden. Even though the moderator is biased and support Obama and the questions will be harder on Palin, I believe she will come across upbeat.
I sent her some tips on how to answer certain tough questions, especially if she asked her a tough question regarding her faith, I hope she gets it in time. Biden is known to make gaffe, & will think more before he opens his mouth. I don't expect Biden to be attacking her, but McCain.

That's the Sarah Palin I remember from the 2006 debates: positive, confident and upbeat," recalls Libby Casey, an Alaska public-radio reporter who served as a debate moderator on two occasions that year.
