Fox Poll: McCain, Obama Tied in Swing States

By: RK

Sens. John McCain and Barack Obama are virtually tied in four key battleground states, and McCain leads his Democratic rival in a fifth by nearly double digits.

According to a newly released Fox News/Rasmussen Reports poll, McCain and Obama are within 3 percentage points of each other in Colorado, Florida, Pennsylvania and Virginia. In Ohio, McCain has opened up a 7-point lead.

Results of the poll:

  • Colorado: Obama 49 percent; McCain 46 percent.

  • Florida: McCain 48 percent; Obama 48 percent.

  • Pennsylvania: Obama 47 percent; McCain 45 percent.

  • Virgina: McCain 49 percent; Obama 47 percent.

  • Ohio: McCain 51 percent; Obama 44 percent.

According to Fox News, the poll shows that McCain is trusted more, and viewed more favorably, than Obama in all five states. It also shows that McCain's running mate, Gov. Sarah Palin, has a higher “very favorable” rating than any other candidate in the presidential race.I predict McCain will grab a majority of these States except maybe Pennsylvania. McCain will win Ohio & Florida.

  • Colorado is base to dozens of evangelical groups, Dobson's turf. The momentum is swinging back towards McCain.
